Met my match today
Felt the blood rushing and mingling
A curious and enigmatic thing now
Spiders in my dreams
Synchronicity weaves like a web when
You were meant to be a meal

I want you so bad
I want you so bad
I understand why they say
High school never ends

Ill never act my age
But you can tell byu the lines in my smile
That I have been around for a while
So insecurities
Are about as useful as trying
To put the pin back in the grenade

I want you so bad
I want you so bad
I understand why they say
High school never ends

This isn't coincidence
There's no such thing
This isn't coincidence
There's no such thing
No such thing

General Comment:I thought the crux of the chorus was about a runaround pursuit, "I want you bad" and the feeling of high school never really ending because of the games and high school drama that gets in the way or follows that.

General Comment:God I LOVE this song! Yeah... I agree a lot with the one talking of his feeling of imperviousness... as much as we all adore BB, he is only human. Someone whom he meets him and understands that must be, well, stark in contrast to everyone who falls at his feet, despite his fear of crowds and such. :)

What a doll. I think its funny how that kind of thing works out.... I mean, I hated high school, and all of the people I personally have seen since then are like "when did this hot chick with a brain happen?"

I'm like. Um, suckas. You were total jerks in high school, now you're the one chasing a star with a butterfly net. Sorry! People really don't see everything about a person in high school. It could be that BB feels stripped of all the past hurts, and is just feeling this kind of rejection for the first time.

Besides, I feel like age is in your freaking head. I'm going to be young for years, because I worry about things, but you couldn't tell looking at me I'm so goofy and carefree towards everybody but myself.

General Comment:I think "I understand why they say high school never ends" means you experience so many things in high school and are solely trying to find yourself..searching for yourself. And also a lot of things you do in high school aka drinking, smoking weed can carry on with you for the rest of your life and never ending what started in high school. THEREFORE, high school never ends. Also the memories could play a big role

General Comment:i think this song is about the lyricist falling for a girl in a "high-school" kind of way. And by that i mean he tries to get the girl, making her see that things were "syncronised" so that the two of them would meet (synchronicity being a coincidence of events that seem to be meaningfully related) and that insecurities are pointless. he then realizes that the way he feels and thus the way he acts is so not according to his age that he finally understands what people mean when they say "highschool never ends".

but that's just my interpretation :)

General Comment:"met my match today" means he met 'the one' so to say.. he sounds like he can get any girl he wants and then he ran into this one and she was different she prob didnt go crazy over him like the other girls.. she's not really interested which makes him want her more!

i get this bit to be like, she was ment to just be used, for company, sex, whatever, ("you were ment to be a meal") but then he ends up getting keen on her, kinda snared (the web bit) as he keeps bumping into her all the time (the synchronicity bit) and then is haunted by her and cant keep his mind off her (the spiders in dreams bit) cause he, well, wants her bad.
if you get that. it makes more sense in my head.
