On the tip of my tongue
An offensive is poised and rearing
My intention: a bullet
My body: a trigger finger

And my pen is a pistola
I don't need to fear you ?

My secret arsenal
Is an infinite ageless inkwell
Its a fountain of youth
And a patriots weapon of choice

And my pen is a pistola
I don't need to fear you ?

General Comment:Where these lyrics say "I don't need to fear you?" Brandon actually sings "Insert your own lyric here". Look in the liner notes, those are the official lyrics.

And he's definitely not talking about his dick. That's fuckin stupid. He means his words are a powerful weapon but I think the song in general is actually satirizing the people that try to contrive weird meanings from his songs. When he says insert your own lyric here he's saying "make this song about whatever you want it to be cause you're gonna think you're right anyway" Words are a powerful weapon but when you misinterpet and screw them up it's just nonsense.

General Comment:Yeah, pistola also means "pistol" in Spanish, jackass. Words are weapons. It's pretty fucking simple.

General Comment:Brandon's such a jerk. I think it could mean either.

"My intention a bullet, my body a trigger finger"
that definitely makes more sense if he's talking about the Italien definition of Pistola, and then this song has a sexual meaning.

    But then his lyrics
"It's a fountain of youth and a patriot's weapon of choice"
this could be either. Is sex a fountain of youth? Or rebelling? Is writing the patriots weapon? Or is he just saying everyone likes to have a good time?

We could debate this forever. Whether hes singing about social revolution or sex revolution, i love this song!

General Comment:OK...so pistola supposedly means PENIS in italian but makes completely no sense in the song...use your brain people, pistola=pistol in spanish... hence the lyrics "My intention a bullet, my body a trigger finger" ...fuck you boxcaraca, dumbass. I agree, the revolutionary power of art. No-brainer, patriot's weapon of choice...what the fuck kind of patriot uses his penis to write shit...you people don't have a clue... Now if you really wanna think all deep and use your brain like the "penis" lovers seem to have done, his offense on his tongue could be about to unleash an gunblast of pleasure? And his ink could be jizz? And it's his fountain of youth? Yea...just fuckin dumb...oh and balls and car batteries...*sigh* again, fuck you boxcaraca

General Comment:lestat86 and genomanx, and the like-minded to them who realize what this song is truly about... thank God for you! after reading several posts i was starting to a.) become entertained with people trying to over-analyze the lyrics, and/or b.) become slightly worried with people totally missing the point altogether (which i happen to feel is straightforward and self-explanatory if you simply give it some thought) by thinking the song is about penises.

he uses his pen to write music, and he uses his music to express/voice his arsenal of words. his "offensive that's poised and rearing" is like setting off a gun. words can harm, but he doesn't fear the possible consequences. i know brandon boyd is an artistic, creative, philosophical type of person, but the metaphor is actually really simple. period.

General Comment:I think everyone needs to chilll...This song can mean whatever it wants to you, hence the "(insert your lyric here)". You can say that its about freedom of speech, you can say it's about the stupidity of our dearest President, whatever.
But for the record, I think it IS about a "pen is".... like the words "inkwell" and "weapon of choice"... what else am I supposed to think? haha, definitely a great song.

General Comment:Pistola is spanish for pistol. jesus why does every song have to be about bush or sex with you people I really want to cry right now. This song is about the infinate power of speech and how one man with one voice has no reason to fear anything or anyone.

"My secret arsenal is an infinite ageless ink well
It's a fountain of youth and a patriot's weapon of choice"

That is one of the best Lines every said in the history of Mankind. Brandon Boyd for president Please God let him run for president.
