Lyrics for 21 And Invincible as interpreted by prayingmantis84

21 And Invincible Lyrics
Some days go by, I wish I was famous
Or maybe religious, so I could go to heaven
Just like you

I can have a big house, complain about taxes
Payoff my ex'es, ain't that living?
No one makes fun of me, cause I can't stand up for myself

Whoa, 21 and invincible
Whoa, can't wait to screw this up
And woah, 21 and invincible
I'm in power for the hour
Guess today's gonna blow us away

I've got a girlfriend
She tells me she needs me
And she loves me
We'll probably get married
Oh no, and everyone will bite their tongues so hard they'll bleed

When mom hears this song
She'll tell me I'm crazy
And she'll say to me
"Son you're much too young,
Go have some fun,
Don't waste your youth like I did"

And whoa, 21 and invincible
Whoa, can't wait to screw this up
And woah, 21 and invincible
I'm in power for the hour
I guess today's gonna blow us away

And it's been autumn since the day that I met you
If I hit bottom, must I crawl out alone?
And I dont wish to know the secrets of summer at all

Let's go

And whoa, 21 and invincible
Whoa, can't wait to fuck this up
And woah, 21 and invincible
I'm in power for the hour
I guess today's gonna blow us away

i guess it's about being of full age and wondering how life should be. he thinks about marrying his girlfriend and what his mothers and all the others would say, in hteir eyes he's much too young.

Exactly. I'm not saying it's ONLY about drinking, but it's that special age where all you can do is fuck up.

okay y'all....i still don't get what you're saying about the whole drinking thing. how does this have to do with drinking? it's about being young, and not knowing what's going to take place in the future.

i agree with virtue the song does explain itself. you just turned 21 you are of legal drinking age (i dont think that has much to do with the song but dats ok) your childhood is basically now completely gone. hes still in his youth but at the end of it and hes sayin to like enjoy that time as much as posisble because it ends faster than you think.

I really think this song has alot to do with how drinking fucks everything up. ESPECIALLY in the first verse/chorus. He starts naming off things he wishes he could be, famous, religious. But then he knows alcahol changes all that for everyone.

haha.. legal drinking age 21.. pff I couldn't wait that long. Go Canada! well yes, emo are easy to understand what it's about. But this song is pretty good, it really reminds me off my friend. But a kid who is 21, and has the world at his feet and can do everything and anything. Most likely he'll screw it up

It's not just about driking. It's about everything you do, when you turn to the magical age of 21. haha. You think you're on top of the world, and that feeling usually leads to disaster, like marrying at a young age. (as said in the song)

I think this is one of Andrew\'s more personal songs. He seems to be always looking forward to turning 21, the ideal age in which he thinks \"no one makes fun of me cuz I can\'t stand up for myself\" because he is fianlly an adult. He also seems to be saying that he can\'t wait to \"screw this up\" cuz he finally has the power to do more. The song ends on \"I\'m in power for the hour, I guess today\'s gonna blow us away\" meaning that since he is finally old enough to make an impact in the world, he is ready to blow the world away.

something corporate is one of my favorite bands !! i love this song .. but i don`t think it has to do with drinking .. more with finally being an adult and just being free to do whatever you want ..
