I pack my suit in a bag
I'm all dressed up for prague
I'm all dressed up with you
All dressed up for him too...
Prepare myself for a war
Before i even open up my door
Before i even look out
I'm pissing all of my bullets about...

Wrap myself in a bag
I'm all wrapped up in prague
I'm all wrapped up in you
I'm all wrapped up in him too

Prepare myself for a war
And I don't know what i'm doing this for
Trying to let it all go
But how can i when you still don't know?

I could wait for you
Like that hole in your boot
Waiting to be fixed
I could wait for you
What good would that do
But to leave me bruised?

Cheers darlin'
Here's to you and your lover
...darling
I got years...
Pack my suit in a bag
Pack myself in a bag
Pack my suit in a bag
All dressed up for Prague
Pack my suit in a bag
All dressed up for
All dressed up for
All dressed up for

General Comment:There are so many interesting thoughts on this song. Mine isn't so much different though.
First part of Cheers Darlin: he meets the girl in the bar (like the live intro) they get along, he loves her inmediately but then... she has a boyfriend. Then they get closer and closer.. he's kind of "friendzoned" xD "I should have kissed you when we were alone", and then she gets married.
That's when Prague shows up. She's getting married in Prague, he has to be there, cos now they're friends, but he's miserable. As miserable and depressed as the music of this song.
But I think she's not so firm in her decision. "Trynna let it all go. But how can I when you still don't know?" Maybe he told her, or something happened between them or she just feels it and she's not so sure about everything. So he wants to move on but since she's not sure, how can someone move on?!
And then... of course, you decide to wait... he decided to wait for her... "like that hole in your boot waiting to be fixed"
Maybe he thinks it won't work out. I mean how many marriages end up in divorces this days? Maybe she's so unsure that he can feel it's bound to fail. So maybe if he waits long enough... he'll be with her. He'll have HIS happy ending.
    I don't know. Random thoughts.

General Comment:this is not the sequel to cheers darlin'. it's the prequel.

"I pack my suit in a bag. I'm all dressed up for prague."
he's getting ready to fly to prague to attend the wedding of the girl he loves.

cheers darlin' takes place just after the wedding. in my head, it takes place at the wedding afterparty.
"I've got your wedding bells in my ear. You gave me three cigarettes to smoke my tears away"

General Comment:i also believe this song is the sequel to "cheers darlin".

i'd originally thought he was actually going to war, because he'd discovered that he actually didn't have much to stick around for, since his love was off with another man, without knowing what she meant to him. the line "pissing all of my bullets around" might mean he doesn't care what happens to him in war; if he dies it matters little, because she doesn't love him.

and also, as it's been stated, the line isn't "leave me bruised". it's "leave me pricked".

General Comment:Prague is a latin word meaning to throw yourself from a window. The song is about him getting dressed up to kill himself and being dressed up for god in heaven. He is then rapped in a body bag because he killed himself.

General Comment:everyone, this song is about him before going to the wedding of the girl he loves. cheers darlin is about how she has a new fiance and it kills him to see the two together and now he's at their wedding. "all dressed up for you, all dressed up for him too." he doesn't know what he's even doing there or why he's fighting it so much but he loves her. yes it is a continuation of cheers darlin. thats why when the song dies back down, in the background you can hear him chanting, "cheers darlin' heres to you and your lover... darling.. I got years." as though he's hoping there is still a chance that he can be with her. that he's just going to wait. and the repetative line about pack my suit in a bag, it is what it is... he's putting his suit he's goin go wear in a bag to travel to where the wedding is. that's my take on it. i wrote a paper on this whole album. absolute brilliance.

General Comment:After reading the lyrics while listening to Cheers Darlin i think this is a little something else. I think He's friends with the bride a groom and the groom is getting married to the girl he's in love with. I think that's where the line

    "All dressed up with you
I'm all dresses up for him too..."

Comes from. He's not just there because he's in love with the girl, he's there because he has to be there for his friend no matter how much it hurts him. Kind of a wierd twist to 'my best friends wedding'. This poor guy is the Jules, but worse, she and Kimmie are close.

General Comment:I thought it was about like a couple fleeing Nazi Germany to Prague. And "him" is Hitler. Maybe they're a Jewish couple and the "all dressed up" is referring to the Star of David they have to wear. Or maybe its a metaphor for how they've been preparing to leave and now they're ready.
Or maybe she doesn't want to leave, or doesn't want to leave yet, and he's wondering if he should wait for her.

General Comment:I think this is about a guy going to the wedding of a woman he loves but never had the courage to tell his feelings to.
