  My Interpretation:Okay, we all know that Britney has had a drug problem, what with the videos and pictures and all.
  I think that when she says "hit", "you," "him", etc., that it's symbolizing a drug/alcohol.
  This whole song is about being addicted to it and the high that it gives her

  General Comment:crushinator's interpretation is brilliant. There's not really much more can be said. Personally, I like this song but in all honesty, there's a ton of people who could have done it and it would still have been a good song. I don't think there's anything Britney specifically brings to the table. Also I love the mashup with Faint by Linkin Park, which is kinda surprising because I usually find Linkin Park bland as all hell.

  General Comment:Well, I know that this song is pretty old, and not a lot of people are liking it anymore, but have any of you heard of VersaEmerge? They did a cover of this on YouTube... Seriously, it's sexy. Everybody should check it out--then you can get the spirit of this song and what it was meant to sound like.

  My Interpretation:It’s about the mixture of drugs and a guy, possibly a drug dealer?

  ^ “I need a hit” . . . it’s obvious, because when some refer to drugs, they sometimes refer to it as a “hit”. And the lines surrounding “I need a hit” and “Baby, give me it” she’s not referring to a boy or possible drug dealer.

  ^ Pretty obvious, “can’t come down” because when she says she’s “too high” she’s saying she high and, basically can’t come down from the rush or high she’s receiving in her mind. AKA, “losing my head” and everything around her is “spinning ‘round and ‘round”. And the last line is basically asking her “do you feel me now”—meaning, does she feel the drugs now.

  ^ Alcohol, and possibly heroin or some other type of drug powder. She refers to alcohol as being toxic, and how she’s slipping under because of it. She loves the affect it has on her.

  ^ Meaning she’s really deep into what she got herself into, and as a result, it’s taking over her—it’s becoming her, the drugs are becoming a vital part of her. The devil’s cup refers to coffee, so she’s drinking coffee to come down from the high she’s encountered.

  ^ “It’s in the air” and “and it’s all around” <- she’s referring to the smoke, so she’s probably smoking. Either marijuana or so.

  ^ She’s ready to go through the cycle all over again.
  
  I personally think it’s talking about drugs, but it can be perceived both ways.

  This is the way the original post appeared when I first found it.
  In days you will make money (it takes only $6 dollars).!!!
  A while ago I was browsing through various message: got my attention, "Making Money Fast".
  Before I read it, I figured it was one of those things where you
  have to do something questionable and you get like $5 a sites,
  just like you're doing now. I saw this one message, similar
  to this one that I'm now writing. It was the topic that week or something really crappy. When I looked at the message, it said I could make thousands of dollars by investing only $6!!! AND I would start bringing in the money almost right away. Still certain that it must be a joke, I read on. Anyway, to make a long, exciting, money making story short, I followed the instructions (I copied them down for you below), decided I could go ahead and waste 6 bucks which I'd probably never see again, and, well? It's just amazing if you ask me. I've already doubled that six dollars about a zillion times over...oh yeah, the other thing is that I still wasn't sure of the legality of it all. I called the questions line of the U.S. Postal Service (1-800-725-2161) just to make sure that the place where I read the Postal Service said it's legal was telling the truth (and it is indeed perfectly not against the law), and I've heard from other people that this is also legal in Britain and Canada (and must be in loads of other countries too).Other people have been doing this, and raking in the thousands just as I have. I haven't exactly kept track, but an example
