Meaning of "This can't be the end":
For those who don't have the album, or who just can't read (because it's written in the liner notes), this song is about a guy and a girl sitting in a car. The guy wants to kiss her, but he's not sure how she'll react.
When he says "This can't be the end", he means that he can't let her leave without kissing her or at least letting her know how he feels.

im not a big blink 182 fan, but i had to buy this album and i gotta say its really good. this is my favourite track on it and it always makes me think of my two best friends.

The song gives off a negitive feeling. Morelike sadness hope and anger all mixed together. He explains how a girl gets him well down apparently by what she does or how she acts. The song definitely means to be forgiveing, however it doesn't quite send out that message strong enough.

I'm going through the same thing this song describes, I love my girlfriend and she told me she loved me back for so long...but the other night she told me she didn't love me, but she wants to continue the relationship. But its pointless to me if she doesnt feel the way i do. but yeah, great song...thats what it means to me.

i agree w/ regos on "this can't be the end" because that makes a lot of sense. sometimes i want to do something and before i know it, it's the end and i lost my chance and i think thats what their trying to say....i love this song so much but yet i love all of blink's songs.

It's definitely about a guy and a girl. The guy is pretty down in the dumps, "Tidal waves they rip right through me / Tears from eyes worn cold and sad / Pick me up now, I need you so bad" but he thinks this girl will sort of save him "I need you so bad." He isn't sure how she'll react if he kisses her, "I'll try to kiss you if you let me" and doesn't want to think that this will be the end of their relationship, whatever it is now, "(this can't be the end)"

I am also thinking that maybe she is rejecting him with "I'll take you over if you let me." But she is driving him crazy, "The look in your eyes makes me crazy" and in the car it is awkward "Your vows of silence fall all over." There is also a possibility that she is rejecting him her too, "I feel the darkness break upon her" but I'm not sure where this ties in "(You did this)"

this song rocks.

it's about a confused guy in a relationship and how he doesn't know what to do and it's driving him crazy that she's rejecting him and stuff. i agree with forsakenoutlaw57 on most of it. the 'you did this' could be from the fact that she's causing him all this pain and confusion and hes like 'you did this' only then he's like 'i need you so bad..' so i dunno either

i love this song. i have to agree with canadian guitarist. it seems to be about a guy who wants more than the girl is willing to give right away in the new relationship, resulting in awkward silence.

I love this song. It is one of my favorite songs that Blink has on the new album. That CD is amazing. I think this song is about a guy and a girl and he feels as if he loves her but she isn't showing the feelings back towards him. And in the CD Mark wrote that it is about rain and the akward silence that we all go through at one time or another with someone that we really care about.

He's saying that there is a girl he's see's a lot in and how there is a light and a type of glow about her. But she seems not to respond to him. He's saying he's willing to give it a chance as long as she's a go.
He's talking about his emotions here, and how they are more or less not good. He's talking about how sad and worn he is and how he needs someone like her to pick him up and show him his way.
He then says that the silence in her remains. He's saying that she begins to feel the same way he does about them two of them and feels a bit sad too and he's saying that he can save her from it.
