this song is terrible. the worst blink has ever made. robert smith is terrible and ruined it. I wish I could delete it from the cd it is so terrible

this song has so much meaning to me! I found it not long ago, when i was in this position of Holly... i was and still am with a guy who, is with me but has another gf... but i know deep down that he wants me... and doesn't want to be with her anymore!! I KNOW IT! ... :( :( i love this song!

for nearly a year i tried to avoid this song because it brought back memories of my dad (he lives in mexico and he loves his song) until recently and i loved it once again....brings back memories though

This song is really creepy. It doesn't sound like Blink. And Robert Smith sounds like Marylin Manson. Whoever he is, I didn't even know who he was until I looked here.

I think that this song is about a guy who is so in love with a girl (Holly) that he wants her so badly that he will even let her use him. Robert Smith is from the Cure (another great band) and i love this song so much!

Well, maybe I am too pervert but my first impression was that this song is about three people - a girl and a boy and a boy. I imagined a story. There is a boy, and he's got a nice girlfriend, seems everything is okay, but the boy, deep in his heart knows that he is a liar, because he wants another person - a boy. But he is not gay, or bisex, so he don't understand his feelings for the boy, just wants him. And he (the other boy, in the song Robert Smith's part) maybe is a gay, who fell in love with the other boy. I read another lyrics, and in that "Holly" was "Holy", which means "saint". Saint, as a good boy, who don't want to be different, who wants to live a normal life with a girl. Both of the boys know that they're meant to be together, but the first boy is too shy to make a confession: "Yes, I'm in love with a boy." So the second one tries to convice him. "Use me holy, come on and use me" But the first don't want to accept, so he lies: "She's all I need..." etc. But in the end, he confesses: "I'm always wanting you". He is with his girlfriend, but wants to be with the boy.

Maybe it was a little bit weird. Would you forgive my fantasy? :)

Wow To Have Robert Smith Sing Most Of The Vocals...Wow. Wow. That'd be like a dream come true.

It's Really Sad Blink is pretty much done for good.

i was in this sortof situation a couple of months back.

i was with a girl. but i fancied another [ex] like mad.
anyway. im now with the one i liked at the time.
she truly is the best thing thats ever happened to me, i dont know why i let go of it the first time. and the girl i left is with a new boy. this song really helped me through that time.
its amazing.

robert smith and tom delonge are both amazing

i know this is years after the cd was made but w/e...lol

the song goes along with easy target

how it says he's collateral damage to holly, meaning, she's trying to get back at her ex-bf and be with him

he actually winds up falling in love with her but it doesnt work out cause she just used him as a rebound

so he goes on in life, gets a new gf, but is still in love with holly

he says use me holly cause thats what she was doing to him, just using him, but he loves her so much he doesnt care he's being used

and as other people have said, he doesnt do anything about it, he just waits for things to change, to break his world in two, leave his gf and be with holly

This is my favourite Blink 182 song. In fact, it's my favourite song of all time.
It gives me full on chills.

I remember the first time I heard it I was so in awe of it I couldn't cry or react to it for DAYS. It was THAT gorgeous.
I listened to it about 60 times that weekend. Couldn't turn it off!

To me, the song is about not being able to have what you want the most.
He can't have Holly so instead he gets a new GF. In spite of this, he is still INSANE over Holly and probably always will be.
Robert Smith makes the song. Without him...just...ahhh. It's so beautiful and so tragic.

Holly interferes though. Like...she's sort of jealous that he moved on and is always there to remind him that she exists still. So she uses him. Sleeps with him, everything just to keep him. She's just blatently using him but he doesn't care because he loves her so so much.
He just wants everything to be over. He just wants to be with Holly, for everything to break and be put back together again.
He fell head over heals, she just wanted a toy.
It's a really emotional song.

i was listening to this and im like... is travis singing nooo... tom isn't this deep voiced... and mark nah... and i was listening and im like FUCK YES!!!! ROBERT SMITH... made this song that much better.

He has a new girl, but a girl he has liked a lot longer is stuck in his head and she's all he thinks about. The new girl is around because he cannot have the one he wants.

I used an example, because I and my friend have/are feeling it. I guess that's how I interpret it. :)

I like this song. Usually, when I hear Blink-182, I can tell that it's them, without being told. The sound in this one sounds kind of different... so yeah, it shocked me a little. I like it, though... it's good.

you kids are entitled to your own opinion then i see a lot of youse arguing something only the former band mates could answer. what im trying to say is if you really need drama that much in your life go get pregnant by your best friends significant other, then come back and listen to this song. bye bye
