Is it just me or does Tom try to sound a lot like Robert Smith of the Cure in the newer Blink songs? I don't mean this one, of course, because Robert Smith was featured in this song. But the album Blink 182, Tom sings a lot like Robert Smith.

Robert Smith! Woo! Um, I dunno about Tom tryna sound like Robert Smith I never noticed that *runs back to listen to blink 182 cd* No offence to Tom, I love his voice, but I don't think he would be able to sing as good as him though... at least not technically anyway...

Robert Smith is an EFFING GOD. i heard blink is on indefinite hiatus... poor blokes. any one know if thta means there was a fight or did they finaly relize theyve grown up and decided they are done singin about fucking pirates, dogs, my grandpa and such?

This song could be considered the best one on the album. Robert Smith is absolutely amazing in his delivery and tone. He takes a song that would normally be just another Blink 182 song (one that I would probably even like) and makes it truly stand out. It is a shame that this never was released as a single because it is a great song.

The feeling I get from the song isn't that it's about a ex-girlfriend, though I can see where people would get that from. When I think of this song, for some odd reason, I think of two couples sitting in a booth across from one another in a diner. The entire time you are staring at the other guys girlfriend, crushing badly over her. Then when you go home that night with your girlfriend all you can think of is the other girl. It's like when you are around that other girl you have piece of mind but when you aren't you can only think about her and nothing else.

I think it's just wanting what he hasn't got.I agree with newfoundmass- It really does seem like that. He has something good but isn't satisfied and is always wanting this other girl that he probably can't have. Love the song- especially with Robert Smith!

i see that he has a wonderful GF but he wants the other side of her, not the quiet side, but the side that talks things out. she is all he wants, but he is not getting her. he is only having one side. he wants the emotional side too.

This obviously has nothing to due with the real meaning of the song and is reading the song out of context from 'Easy Target' and is just me sulking while listening to the lyrics, but anyways:

"Another night with her"
Doesn't nessicarly mean the man, Holly could be spending her nights with another women.

"Nothing I know changes me at all; Again I wait for this to change instead; To tear the world in two"
He waits for the situation to change, he doesn't act. He may be in angsting pain but he doesn't make any move. Even though he feels miserable its all he has.

"Use me Holly come on and use me"
He wants to be with Holly, in any way, shape or form, even treated as an object.

All the other verses seem to be another variation on the "Tear the world appart" Theme.

To me, the song is about being in love w/ some1 who just uses you. Even tho u know what they r doing, u still want them to do it b/c u feel like u still have them in a way. I see the song as looking back and seeing that u luv them and can't live w/out them. Like, the guy has "gone on" and is with someone else that doesnt use him, but he's still in love with holly, and even tho she treats him badly, he wants her back.

I just love the whole 'featuring Robert Smith' thing.. he sings almost the whole song.. normaly when someone features in a song of a proper band, i.e not a dance track, they hardly sing anything or they're backing vocals..

This song is amazing. I think that Robert Smith (Frontman of The Cure) was an awesome addition. Everytime I hear this song it makes me sad. Although it is beautiful, has a great beat and what not, the message is sad. The guy is with one girl yet he loves another. That is horrible. I mean, imagine how the girl he is with feels. But I love the "Use me Holly, come on and use me" part. Awesome song.

Congrats to Travis Barker for knocking Shanna Barker (his wife) up again. I hope this baby is almost as cute as Landon. :)

This song is great! Everybody feels like this at least once in their life, they have something, or in this case someone, but it isn't good enough. Well not so much good enough, but you want more. I have certainly felt like this. Robert Smith was the perfect voice for this; very strong.

I saw blink play live earlier this year. When they played all of this, Mark sang the Robert Smith lyrics and it sounded awesome, although not as haunting on the cd. But it was an awesome song live, so much atmosphere. Def one of blinks best songs. Loves it

im guessing holly is a former girl that maybe bounced on him, and even though he has a current girl it a proximity relationship. Sure, he isnt gonna stop sleeping with this woman, but he wants holly. He doesn't even care if she just uses him, he'll take that...

HOLY CRAP!!!! This is song, to me, is the most beautiful song I've ever heard just because I can relate to it so well, in my own way mind you. I've replayed the song over and over, again and again to the point where I honestly believe that I've heard it more than any other song in my whole life. I just love this song. Ur probably wondering why i luv this song so much, so i'll tell u why. Around the beginning of this year I fell i luv with an amazing girl. Although I still like her to this day, I've kinda realized that nothing can ever happen between us. Anyways, I had a crush on this girl and never had guts, nor do i think I will, to go and talk to her. then I got blink-182's self-titled cd. I luved the cd, and it still remains a favorite of mine. then it came to track number 12 - ALL OF THIS. I remembering hearing it for the first time very well. It started off with some strange guy that wasnt mark or tom. I learned later that it was a man named Robert Smith from a band called The Cure. thax to this song, I am now a fan of that band :) anyways, i listened continued listening to the song. Then Tom came in and sang in the chorus. OMG!!! his voice sent chills down my spine. It was crazy. at the end of the song, being the over-emotional guy I am lol, I actually cried a little bit. To me the song this described perfectly how I felt about this girl. The verses are about seeing this girl for the first time, how nothing inside of ur heart has changed you in such a big way. No matter who u r with, whether its a friend or even another girl, no one even compares to her. The Chorus (Use me, Holly...) is basically a desprate plea. This guy wants "Holly's" attention so bad, whether its good or bad, physical or emotional, etc. As long as he's with her he's ok. the interlude or bridge or wutever u wanna call it self-explanitory. He wants to be with her more than anything. Thats wut the song truly means to me. Everytime I listen to this song I'm reminded of her. Anyways, awesome song. The best one I ever heard. Nice job to Robert Smith & Blink-182. You guys are the best.

So, I always thought it was about some guy being with a girl like the rest of you and wanting another girl, but the girl he's with is Holly. He wants the other girl so bad he doesn't care if his current girl or w/e uses him or anything (Holly)

that's just what I've been thinking, maybe I haven't been listening close enough o_O

I didn't really understand the song at first but I loved the fact that they brought in some old singer and such, haha. It makes it sound more real and serious. I'm such a huge Blink fan, since the song Dammit, haha.

its about a man who already has his life and his girl all together and then this other girl holly comes into the picture and he falls for her and she leaves and he can't stop thinking about her... he thinks it will pull apart or play differently, but in the end he is just always wanting her.

This is an amazing song.. My favorite on the cd.. And I love it, but at the same time whenever it plays I get this sick feeling in my stomach.. because I've definitely been the girl the boy doesn't really care about. And when I was that girl (not holly) I listened to this song..
