I was once seeing this guy that a fell for but it turned out he was usin me n the whole thing ended so i started goin out with another guy but the whole time a was with him a still wanted the guy who had been usin me, thats what a think this song is about, when your in a relationship but yu love someone else who used you and yu know yu shouldn't but yu always hope they'll change

He is using Holly and he wants holly to use him back because he feels like crap just using a girl, "we go where we go/know" just means that both the boy and holly know this relationship is going to go nowhere as long as the boy (lets call him tom lol) still wants this other unnamed ex (lets call her 'josie'"

He feels heartbroken still nothing he feels can make him change and he's just waiting and being with holly while he still really wants josie

The line "She's all I'm always wanting you" makes me thing that Holly is all he needs and is kinda the perfect girl for him because he sings this song in the second person, making me think he's talking to Josie, so when he says she's all i need etc. he must be talking about Holly, showing that Holly is the perfect girl, yet he still wants josie

Tom figures he'll just wait for time to mend his broken heart.

the only part of this song that im not entirely sure of is the meaning behind the lines that say "blahblahblah in two" but thats pretty much unargueably the meaning

this song became my favorite song from the moment i heard it, even if i didnt understand it at first. then i realized that i was goin through the same thing, like i was in the same place as holly was.

ive been both girls in this scenario..with the same guy actually. its crazy. but its about the girl you always want, but cant have. and the guy sleeps with these other girls to try to forget her, but he cant get her out of her head. its cute. but it hurts an awful lot to be the the "another night with her" girl.

i dont think this song is about two different girls......i feel its about a guy who is with a girl, but shes not the girl he used to know, shes not the girl he met and shes not the girl he wants anymore, he wants the girl he met back....but hey thats just what the song says to me!

I heard this song when I was half asleep one night, (I had my iPod on random and this is one of like 1000 songs I had yet to listen to at the time) and I havn't gone a day without listening to it. The song is simply amazing. Discribes my relationship almost perfectly and Robert Smith dis an excellent job singing. This song is one of my favorate BLink 182 songs of all time.

another great blink song, this one really shows a different blink, also i have to say i absolutely loved this whole album, completely makes up for take off your pants and jacket, nothing like what they where in the 90s but i like the 90s blink and the new blink just not the take off your pants and jacket blink

damn this song is amazing. Depressing, but amazing. i mean as far as relaying a feeling and painting a picture, it is top notch.
Anyway-
This song, to me, says
there is this guy who loves two different girls and is in a relationship with one, maybe, and might even love them equally..
he wishes he could be in two places at the same time.
"...To break my time in two"
but of course that is humanly impossible.
He wants what he can't have so desperately he doesn't care is she doesn't love him back and is just using him.

i beleive its their best song...so intense....
and the boy's feelings aren't towards Holly definately...Holly is[like sb said] there to take his mind away...i think he never had a relationship with the "other girl"...she was like a secret "unfulfilled" love...

the song i think is about Holy, toms first ever girlfriend, who used him to get closer to his toms brother

but i think tom still liked her for ages afterwards...

he is basically saying that he knows everything is changing, but he seems to be staying the same, not moving forward. veven though he is seeing someone else, or at least he is showing interest in someone else, he still wants her, Holly.

and when he is saying "Use me Holly, come on and use me", he is telling how she uses him and doesnt go for for the right reasons. but he loves her so much, and wants to be with her all the time, so he is telling her to use him more and more for wrong reasons, cause either way, hes involved with her and thats all that matters to him.


none of the hurt, and the realization of her using him and not loving him doesnt efficiently eat away at him, and it doesnt make him change his ways and move on for something better and more meaningful, even though he understands, deep in his heart, i wants to move forward, but he keeps listening to his mind and holding on to holly.


in the end, in the line "Oh again I wait for this to fill the holes, To shake the sky in two", he is saying that he is waiting till the day that he can get over her and go his own seperate way, get away from her, the mere thought of her at that. but for some reason he is letting his head keep him in the position hes in, and he cant wait for the day he finally gets the courage to listen to his heart, not his mind.

Tom: "A friend of ours told us a story of when he was young, and got asked to go to the prettiest girl in high schools house. He rode his bike as fast as he could to get there, and she and her friend jumped out of the balcony and sprayed him with a hose. He rode home wet, sad and humiliated."

In this song, the girl named 'Holly', previously mentioned in 'Easy Target' returns. In past interviews, Holly was actually Tom's first girlfriend who left him for his older brother. The lines "Use me Holly", refer to her only going out with him in order to get closer to his brother.

I think the 'friend' that got sprayed with the hose is Tom himself during his youth.

I think the whole song is just about one girl and no other girl's involve and that girl is holly Tom's girlfriend who used him.

'Nothing I know changes me at all'
means he continued the relationship despite knowing he was used.

'Again I wait for this to change instead'
means he's hoping eventually holly would actually really start liking him instead of just using him.

'Another night with her
But I'm always wanting you'
means he is with her(holly who pretends to like him)
but what he really longed for is holly's real affection.
Although referring to two individuals he's actually talking about a single person (her true self and what she pretends to be).

well to me this song fits in the situation i was in
"another night with her but im always wanting you"
i think its about breaking up with someone you love so much
then finding another girl that you also love so she gives you the love and affection the first girl gave you
but the first girl will always be in your heart and youre always wanting her
and always love her
like rebounding i guess

this song reminds of my best friend. i'm so in love with him, and it seems like he likes me a little too. but he still has feelings for his ex(who's name is holly. what a coincidence!) and i know he'll always want her, and it just pains me cuz i want him to be happy, but i also want him to be happy w/ me...

i think this song is about him having a relationship with two girls, one of which holly. i think holly is basically a side relationship when he's really in love with the other girl.

you kids are entitled to your own opinion then i see a lot of youse arguing something only the former band mates could answer. what im trying to say is if you really need drama that much in your life go get pregnant by your best friends significant other, then come back and listen to this song. bye bye
