I think it's talking about how lust isn't the same as love, and how no one seems to understand that anymore. "all these people" don't include him because he doesn't just want sex, he wants someone to love him. he's tried sex and it's nice, but it isn't fulfilling. but it's the closest he can get to love for now, so he'll have to settle for the time being.

OMG sooo i was seeing this guy for a few casual dates and he sent me a message with url link to a youtube video of this song.. and he just left the link with nooothing no words to explain.. i was totally confused.. i knnow he was into me but i could not really interpret what he was saying.. but after hearing the song im thinking that when he says You know it's time

The song sounds to me to be an observation of they way things have gone, sexual overtness is apparent, and there no longer seems to be any clear lines as to what is acceptable. Genderlines are blurred, and the essence of love and relationships have become casual enough to the point where no one seems to care anymore (tied to a night they never met). Swallowing words while giving head can mean both genders, and not just homosexual, but the point of this lyric is to suggest the impersonality of the act.

the first time i read the lyrics i thought it was about a virgin really wanting to go 'all that way'. like there's all these ppl drinking lover's spit and swallowing words while giving head so why not join the party?

yes, it is about giving head. but it's deeper than that. its not just giving head, its like he's sick of people not taking love seriously. like giving head to some dude you just picked up at a bar. sex and love should be one unified being, not just something that feels good. also, i believe what KD is saying is that we're all getting older and he wants a real meaningful relationship, not just a bj.

i may be wrong but whatever.
