Now I'm lost

Last night I heard lepers
Flinch like birth defects
It's musk was fecal in origin
As the words dribbled off of its chin

It said I'm lost
I'm lost
Now I'm lost

Dolls wreck the minced meat of pupils
Cast in oblong arms length
The hooks have been picking their scabs
Where wolves hide in the company of men

It said
I'm lost
I'm lost
Now I'm lost

Are you peaking in the red
Perforated at the neck
What of this mongrel architect
A broken arm of sewers set
Past present and future tense
Clipside of the pinkeye fountain

Now I'm lost

It's been said
Long time ago
You'll be the first and last to know
You'll never know

General Comment:I believe you guys who know more about the band and the story line of his book probably have a better idea
than me. It comes across to me as though the lyricist isn't actually writing lyrics with certain
metaphors in it. He is trying to convey a dark emotion by using imagery and extremely disturbing word-choice. tis lovely... reminds me of ring around the rosey, pocket full of posey....

I think this could be a raw scene of "surgical" procedures which leaves even more scars on Cerpin's skin. Could be like destroying what is already in ruins since Cedric had already described Julio and pointed out that he had, among others, huge scars of cuts on his neck, I assume this could be because of a tracheostomy ("Perforated at the neck")...

General Comment:I just had to create an account to point this out:

    Main Entry: louse
    Part of Speech: verb
    Definition: botch
Synonyms: ball up, blow*, blunder, bobble, boggle, bollix, boot, bumble, bungle, butcher, distort, err, fall down, flounder, flub, foul up, fumble, goof up, gum up, make a muck of, mar, mend, mess up*, mess*, misapply, miscalculate, miscompute, misconjecture, misconstrue, mishandle, misjudge, mismanage, muck up, muddle, muff, mutilate, patch, pull a boner, ruin, screw up, spoil, stumble, wreck
    * = informal/non-formal usage

you know it alls out there still dont think it could possibly be loused instead of lost? given TMV's nature to necessitate deeper understandings and further reading into the lyrics, and THE WORD IS IN THE TITLE OF THE EP, maybe this term for totally fucking up and being a mess could be more cohesive to the concept.

    Just a thought.

thanks to you all for making me sign up for an account and make sure i knew what it meant to louse (v) and type this. Goddamnit, people.

My Interpretation:Last line "You'll be the first and last to know, you'll never know." Reference to god, the alpha and omega, who would be the first and last to know that cerpin is dead. However, he committed suicide and is lost so god will never know he's dead.

General Comment:for those who think these lyrics are completely utter nonsense, the reason why these lyrics are so obscure and not put straight out are for the listener's appeal. music is obviously subjective, and your interpretation of those lyrics are what matter. there's obviously nothing interesting about saying "smells like shit" instead of "it's musk was fecal in origin." the human mind's interpretation can result to almost anything, and that's what makes these lyrics so brilliant. it's fucking free style.

General Comment:First track I heard by TMV. Very simple chorus considering their more complex stuff in practically everything else but it's welcome.

They are a technically brilliant band although the singer isn't in Matthew Bellamy's league (Muse). They are probably better musicians though (Apart from Bellamy on piano/guitar).

General Comment:it might just be about a guy that does drugs because he is saying "where wolves hide in the company of men" maybe meaning that he is hallucinating and seeing things with the drugs also "you'll be the first and last to know you'll never know" means that he remembers things but then forgets because the drugs pretty much screw him over
