Wow. Stacy's mom has got it going on was like, our break the silence song in the quiet lobby after school. Just all the sudden, out of nowhere, girl starts "stacy's mom has got it going on...." and then all the other people sitting in the lobby are singing too. Funny, really. Just like the song.

yeah, i agree this song is fairly lame. its still a little catchy though. if you like pop music, you should listen to the rest of thier stuff.

the newer songs arent bad from welcom interstate managers. "valley winter song" and " hey julie" are among the best.

they have a few older songs that are also good:
radiation vibe
red dragon tattoo
there are more, cant think right now.

im sorry, but this song is terrible, though definitely not as bad as most of fountains of wayne's new crap. theyre older stuff is much better, welcome interstate managers is mindless bad pop. stacey's mom is an excellent pop song no doubt, by which i mean it has a really catchy hook, etc, but that doesnt make it good.

before the morons come out and tell me that if i dont have any anything nice to say i shouldnt say anything at all, i am just as free to express my opinion here as anyone else, and while i suppose its their right to tell me that, it would be stupid.

It's about MILF. Isn't that what Simon & Garfunkel did with Mrs. Robinson? Anyway, this song really sucks compared to the rest. I can see why though it was the first single because it catches people's attentions. The video is great though, especially the homage to Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

this song is funny... the video is funny... but i like Mexican Wine better... but fountains of wayne is awesome.. i guess no one really has differring opinions about the song haha we all know its about stacy's mom ... all the guys i know think this one kids mom is so hot i think its funny because after i found out about that i heard this song haha... oh man

i haven't heard any other songs from this band but this song is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head for days...this song is pretty pop...which i usually don't like but i liked it when i first heard it cuz was so catchy and had almost creepy (yet original!) lyrics...then they started playing it everywhere and it just got old...
