Turn all the lights down low
Try to fade your apathy
Made up a world where you can even be you
Star in a tragedy
Shadowed voice on an open court
And light up around the world just to hear you scream

Blown away by fame
We could all feel the shotgun hit the floor
Never learn in faith
If you can't believe

Drowning in misery
The nightmare begins when you close the door
You sat in your angry chair and stryed to be you
The needle became your queen
The drug had become your enemy
And music was just a way for you to bleed

Blown away by fame
We could all feel the shotgun hit the floor
Never learn in faith
If you can't believe

Blown away by fame
We could all feel the shotgun hit the floor
Never learn in faith
If you can't believe
And you won't believe
And he can't believe

Blown away by fame
We could all feel the shotgun hit the floor
Never learn in faith
If you can't believe

Blown away by fame
We could all feel the shotgun hit the floor
Never learn in faith
If you can't believe
And you won't believe
And he can't believe
And they won't believe
And they can't believe

General Comment:NO1 can top what layne and cantrell were able to do..along with kurt cobain.i love them both.they are two of the greatest bands..left way too early.the first two verses are abut Layne..and the shotgun reference is about kurt...its defintaly more about layne staley tho..and chards of glass..i will have to disagree.listen to stainds "layne" from their 13 shades of grey album..aaron lewis is very good.and a huge AIC fan.he also has a cover for nutshell..the best part is that he doesnt sound like layne and he does it as a tribute to AIC and not to try to be like them.

General Comment:I miss the grunge movement :'(. All these new bands that try are awesome, but none of them get big enough. Ya'll nailed this song, and it's pretty cool to see Scooter actually write a song about this whole thing and make it sound good. There have been a few more in this vein, but all of the other songs about Kurt or Layne dying have sucked.

General Comment:it's definetely on relevence to the icons lives.but i feel there's something deeper.almost like he's asking ppl to "never learn in faith what you cant believe".made up a world where you cant even be you(common belief/religion/faith)

The drug had become your enemy(remorse)

Well thats how i'd like to relate it to
    cheers...

General Comment:layne stayley was found in his apartment dead when his body was decomposing. the coroner estimated the day of death as april 5th- exactly 8 years after cobain died. the "angry chair" reference suggests this theory further

General Comment:bty the word is preserves, I was pissed sao my spelling went 2n hell and famous might not have an "e". The spooky thing is that kurt confessed salvation at an early age according 2 1 bio I heard but saw hipocricy and turned his back on it . Is that what "Never mind in faith if you don't believe " means.
R cold christians? they sing a lot of songs about GOD and angels and shit, but they also used adult language on their year of the spider lp though not really on a different kind of pain
