If I could paint how I feel, I'd draw bullseye on your forehead
My anger is not misdirected unless it somehow misses you

Time spent on hate, is time gone to waste , I watch you point and click your life away

So cast the stones that I'll gladly catch
And I'll throw them right back, I stand behind the things I say,
You type the words you won't say to my face

Time spent on hate, is time gone to waste , I watch you point and click your life away

It seems you've let me go again, just like the day you let me in, the best of intentions,
You were never mine to begin with

So step away from the fucking screen, see a world outside your scene,
Maybe then you will know and realize the lack of threat you pose

General Comment:This song is about all who use the internet, believe in what Rise Against has to say, but instead of somehow supporting Rise Against and doing something about the problems in the world, fans of theirs are sitting home on a computer, clicking their life away.

"Rise Against is hardcore." -Zzz comment from someone who barely listens to the lyrics to realize they're bashing the internet goers for their stupidity and lack of support of their movement and ideals.

General Comment:All noobs who argue over the internet need to be forced to listen to this song.

Also, I doubt Rise Against actually planned this whole thing out, but all the Appeal to Reason haters need to listen to this song. They just talk shit about the album because its not as "hardcore" as The Unraveling and other early albums. I bet none of those little shits would dare say that to Rise Against in person, they just spam it on the internet.

General Comment:it means what it says, time spent on hate is time gone to waste, its better to love than hate. i think it is like a modern anti war/hate song. and instead of spreading roumenrs about people, we need to talk to them

General Comment:I think i read an interview where Tim said, that they had an messageboard on their site. But then there where some assholes who thought they could write shit ´cuz it´s anonymous. He said he was very thin-skinned at that time and he thought everyone would hate him and the band and everthing they do.

General Comment:Rattfink, you're way off. I actually find internet arguments extremely amusing, sometimes I partake, but not as a whiny bitch, just for some laughs...I guess I suck. Great song, though. Rise Against!

General Comment:This song i think is about a break up over the internet, because of a few reasons:
"so step away from the fucking screen" is refering to the inter net.
"you type the words you won't say to my face"

I also think this song is about trying to help someone who just throws it back in your face. if you get what i mean. GREAT SONG !!! Keep Rockin Punks!
