The red poison of your lips
The red poison of your eyes
Is where I kissed the blood from
Just that corner of your mouth where I can see the
White of your smile

Up to my neck
When I'm breathing without you
Without you
Up to my eyes
And I'm seeing without you
Without you

We'll start a fire
And burn some bridges
And make it out of here tonight

We need some leverage
We can't seem to open up
The locks are far too tight
And the chains are far too strong
Far too strong

Up to my eyes
When I'm seeing without you, without you
Up to my heart
When I'm bleeding without you, without you

We'll start a fire
And burn some bridges
And make it out of here tonight

Please someone help me
I'm dying here in front of you
Please someone help me
I'm dying here in front of you
With a hundred thousand lights
Timing as everything will
With a hundred thousand lights
Timing, timing is everything to me
Please someone help me
I'm dying here in front of you
Please someone help me
I'm dying here in front of you
It's everything, it's everything
Timing is everything, it's everything

General Comment:I always thought that saying burning bridges was like saying breaking the ice, as in getting to know someone.

General Comment:I dont know if anyone's said this yet, but here i go:

    I think that
    'Please someone help me
I'm dying here in front of you'
    I see this as:
He is in a sealed tank of water (the relationship)
and he cant get out as he may love the girl too much
or just cant let go and its killing him and the audience
is composed of the girl and his friends that have
seen him in relationships before and just think
that its part of the illusion and he's just going to move on

I thought of this as Houdini in the tank and when he fails to escape
he looks out to the auidence just wanting someone to notice whats
happening but nobody realises or helps because they just think its
    part of the trick.

Pretty Sad When I Thought Of It lol
    But Nevertheless, An Awesome Song!

My Opinion:I love this song so much, it's one of those songs that just sticks in your head after you hear it? I'm not very good at working out what song are meant to mean, I think it's better if you listen to a song and you can relate it to something in your own life?

I think this song is about someone he was formerly in a relationship with and he misses her and would like to get back with her, maybe.

    ''We'll start a fire,
    And burn some bridges
And make it out of here tonight''

What I got from these lines was; they'll start a fight and then they'll work things out solve out all there problems (burning down the bridges in their way) and then they will be together again by the end of the night.

As I said I'm not the best at working out the meanings behind lyrics, but I'm only fourteen. So I have plenty of time to work it out. ;] x

General Comment:This is such a great song and i just found out about it a little while ago.
To me this song it talking more about a failed trick which he tries to pull with this girl. Hence the fact he says that they will make it out when he burns some bridges, to me that symbolizes the idea that he is cutting himself from his friends and the world around him. However soon after he commits to this trick, or to the girl, he finds himself dying with no one there to help him. And this girl who he put his whole life in the hands of stands there doing nothing. But that is just my view point of this song.

General Comment:The title is meant to be ironic.
I mean the only escape artist I can name is Houdini, and of course he died performing a trick. So that's relevant I think.

General Comment:This is one of their best songs and to be honest I always thought about it as being in a difficult relationship where he finds it hard to communicate with the other person. Where it says "We can't seem to open up The locks are far too tight" the fact that it says "We" makes me think that theres the 2 of them in the relationship and niether of them can open up to the other. I'm probably completely wrong but thats how I've always seen it (:

General Comment:i think this songs about a relationship. he's in love with this girl, but they always get into fights. and "the red poison of your lips, the red poison of your eyes" he means like her always saying negative things about him, and giving him glares to show she's mad at him.

and i think when he says "please someone help me, im dying here in front of you" he means that his relationship with the girl is ending. and when he says "with a hundred thousand lights, timing is everything" he has to break up w/ her in a public place?? that with so many ppl watching, he has to break up at the right time?? but w/e happens in the end he knows that the relationship will never die (the title).

i dunno. i know thats crappy, but thats what i think about every time i hear the song.

    General Comment:It's about....Dancing ;)
Anyone whos got the DvD Spilling blood in 8mm will get this ;D

I actually think it's about practice - Practice something, and you'll be good. You shouldn't give up. You'll become an artist if you keep practicing - Practicing escaping enough will make you an escape artist...And then you won't die ;)

Works for lots of other things too.
