heaven. or maybe hes on a hill top that over looks the city, remembering this girl he was here with once apon
a time.
i think it could be about a break up or something of the sort. i didnt dig too deep into this one.
Th stars are gonna cry because they must have been together for a long time, and it's going to hurt to see them split up. It's the moment he lives for because he's been wanting to do this for a long time.
I think he literally meant he's singing from a rooftop so the whole city can hear him. Being a 'ghost' is what he needs because if he gives too much detail of him and his situation then people couldn't relate as much.
By "our dying day" i think he means the day that the idea of them as a couple dies. Basically the day that "we" die. Get it?
"For a second I wish the tide, etc." He wishes she would drown on her shock of him breaking up with her.
