Here is my st. anger RANT:

1. The Lyrics are sub-par for James' standards
2. What is with the drumming? The floor tom sounds like a snare and the snare and the rest of the set sound like tin cans!!!
3. I doubt James made this song with an actual meaning involved... on the documentary Some Kind Of Monster he just writes down a line and goes.
4. Its the best song on the album, and i wouldnt pay a dollar to by this album, never mind the song.
5. NO SOLOS???
6. The guitar riffs are repetative and are lost in distortion.
7. James has a walrus and a touque for the video. Yes, a WALRUS!!

They're a great band and they'll always be, even if their old songs were better, it doesnt mean that the new ones suck.

i liked the album. i like metallica.
i absolutely hate this song.
fuck, it's disgusting to listen to OVER and OVER. the lyrics dont make ANY sense (and believe me, i actually spent TIME trying to figure them out after i first heard the song). it sounds like some amateur heavy metal band right outta the garage with angry lyrics that can serve as the stereotype for all metal bands. the drums soudn like shit and the guitar isnt too great either...atleast not james hetfield level.
great album. crappy song.

this song seems to be refering to some of the old stuff as well as the meanings on the first page.
"fuck it all and fuckin no regrets" was a lyric from damage inc. and hit the lights was their first song.

This song and the whole album sucked!! LOAD and RE-load sucked too but you could actually consider it Metallica- all on those were melodic songs like Fade to black. No solos= crap. Crappy lyrics. james didn't write the lyrics all the way. Lars and kirk and bob rock contributed. That sucked. James can write good but they didn't let him. Basicly they almost tried to go slipknot. They tried to be mainstream again Mainstream Sucks. They tried to shift to Modern Rock, not continue heavy, fast, head banging metal. If they continue this Metal has died. +Megadeth

Look, you don't compare old works to new works or you will never truly appreciate ANY new works they put out. Each album is it's own "animal". The song could very well be about suicide, but I believe it to be a representation of bottled up anger. Also, I think it's possible for the line "He never gets respect" to be sarcastic. He obviously is pissed and doesn't want to release his anger, afraid of it.

To be honest I don't give a damn about Metallica's hair and no one really should considering that it has nothing to do with the sound of there music. although I still think metallica can do better than what they did on this album.....we can only wait....
