You called to say you wanted out.
Well, I can't say I blame you now.
Sometimes you've got to fold
Before you're found out.
Well thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself.

'Cause now that I can see you,
I don't think you're worth a second glance.

So much for all the promises you made,
They served you well.
Now you're gone and they're wasted on me.

So much for your endearing sense of charm,
It served you well.
Now you've gone and they're wasted on me.

I guess that all you've got
Is all you're gonna get.

General Comment:I kinda missed the whole phase when emo kids everywhere were listenin to these guys, and i just started. But wow, yea they are extremely good at being easily relatable. I have to say though, i like their old stuff a little better. its more original

In relationships people lie to get what they want. Those promises get people what they really shouldn't have. Everyone has experienced this. Or probably will. And my heart goes out to you.

"Now that I can see you, I don't think you're worth a second glance."
Once you realize that the "ex" is just a big liar and used you, you feel bitter, and realize that despite how much you let them affect you, and you hurt, they just aren't even worth that feeling. It's not worth looking back at what you had. The person you saw was a lie, the person you now see is someone not worth seeing.

General Comment:I think this song is about a girl who cheated on him (poor chris!). She called him to tell him it was over because she didn't wanna get caught cheatin, and I guess he was pretty hurt by it but he realizes she ain't even worth his time. And then like in the chorus he's just like saying well that relationship was a real bust, and like in the end where he's like I guess that all you've got is all you're gonna get, so much for so much more, that part means that people can see right through her little charades and that the guy she cheated with is probably the only guy who would want her. But yeah, all in all an awesome song... totally describes my current situation... KENNETH, YOU CAN SUCK IT!!!

General Comment: This is the one the "getting dumped" playlist. I can really relate to the song. I think it's basically a girl dumping him when he didn't expect it. She promised him she'd love him forever and he let his guard down and believed it, he depended on it. Then, out of nowhere she dumps him for whatever reason, and he's left angry and wondering what happened to all the promises of being in love that she made. It served her well in getting him to let his guard down.

"so much for, so much more"

Great line, he saw a future for the both of them that made him happy. Well, all those dreams of the future were crushed, "rapid hope loss". He believed the relationship would blossom if only she didn't dump him. Now he's crushed and can't find any reason to be optimistic for the future.

General Comment:Love this song! Anyone could relate to it.

"sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out"
*like in playing poker, theres only a certain extent to which you can bluff, if you do it too much, people will start to catch on, so you have to know when to just throw the cards in... in life, you can only keep a lie going for so long until someone discovers the truth. So i guess hes saying he understand why she wants out, because she knows shes wrong and is quitting while shes ahead, before he discovers the "truth"...or something along the lines of that lol.

"Now that i can see you, i dont think you're worth a second glance"
*self-explanatory! But it happens to the best of us. They say love is blind, in the beginning, you dont completely know the person and its easy to get caught up in a new relationship and just not see the other persons flaws until a later time...then you realize, they werent who you thought they were.

"I guess that all you've got is all you're gunna get, so much for, so much more"
This is my fav part of the song! Its so true, for that type of person. Because of the type of person she is, everything shes got in her life now, is all shell ever get. Theres no way for her to grow until she can change. Like he said in the beginning, she wanted out, she quit instead of trying to make things right, so if shes always going to do that, how can she ever get more than she already has? If that makes any sense lol.

General Comment:Hm. Maybe, she's cheating on him and he found out via a friend. She can't live with it anymore, and breaks up with him, and he says "well, at least you did it before telling me the truth" and then, she wasn't the person he thought she was.

I make no sense, I'm sorry DX

General Comment:My boyfriend and I of 2 years just broke up. I thought it was this mature, mutual breakup - where we could both go our own ways for a while, build ourselves as people and get established in the world. However, I come to find out that he started to have an affair with an older, married woman. This song mirrors this entire relationship.

He wanted out before he was found out. He promised me the world, he promised me we would get married - now that I can see him, I don't think he's worth a second glance.

That idiot - he lost the best thing that ever happened to him. So much for so much more - what we had was all he's going to get. When this all blows up in his face I won't be there to pick up the pieces.

General Comment:i think this song is about your first love.
"So much for all the promises you made
    They served you well
And now you're gone and they're wasted on me"
i think this part is about when someone is like "oh you're the love of my life, my only one! i'll never love anyone else!" and then they break up and that person that said that goes to the next relationship and says the same things.

but this song is amazing and i definatly connected to it!
