Don't you know? Delta (the guy on the cover of Meteora who also did most of the Meteora art for the panels) was like all angry at the damn cheap glass panels he had to work with so he was all like with a hammer: "Just... Gotta... *CRASH*!" either that or it was some hobo mad at a beer bottle...

lol some hobo mad at a beer bottle. thats funny. dont ask me why. it just is. and there is no real meaning to this song, its just to sound cool. and it worked.

I love the way this one just flows into "Don't Stay" and gets everything started. Other that that it's pointless.

Though I don't think it was a beer bottle...didn't it say it was completely computer generated...?

Had to throw this out there... this thing reminds me of the introduction to Nine Inch Nails - Mr. Self Destruct off of The Downward Spiral. I think LP said once they were partially influenced off of NIN, so I wonder..

if you listen closely, after the crash of whatever the hell crashes, you can hear another hammering noise!
its like: dink dink dink dink dinkdinkdink CRASH dink (the last dink is very distant but definetly there)

I'm horrid at explaining things-im only 12, giveme a break!- but you'll know what im talking about if you sisten! (very closely!)

Actually, I did find a meaning to this song, and probably a very good one. What if, glass being hit with a hammer is like someone being hit by the lies/backstabbing/ill-treatment/etc of someone(s) else? Then it would suggest, that you can only keep on "hitting" someone until they eventually break (that is, the glass breaking at the end).

A lot of Linkin Park songs seem to talk about being pushed a more and more, eventually until reaching the point of breaking (From One Step Closer "everything you say to me takes me one step closer to the edge... and I'm about to break"). This seems to decribe just that - with hitting the glass until it eventually breaks.

Also, like how it goes nicely into Don't Stay. As for the "extra tap", I don't know, but what I said above is what I think Foreword means. After all, that is the message that LP seems to put across in some (if not most) of their songs.

I'm not taking the cd burner statement as fact, but take into consideration that they could have manipulated the noise.

Also DragonWing85, it reminds me of "Mr. Self Destruct" as well.
