I'm sinkin' like a stone in the sea
I'm burning like a bridge for your body
I'm sinkin' like a stone in the sea
I'm burning like a bridge for your body
I'm sinkin' like a stone in the sea
I'm burning like a bridge for your body
I'm burning like a bridge for your body
I'm sinkin' like a stone in the sea
I'm burning like a bridge for your body
I'm sinkin' like a stone in the sea
I'm burning like a bridge for your body

"Tautou" refers to "tautology" meaning: an unnecessary or unessential (and sometimes unintentional) repetition of meaning, using different and dissimilar words that effectively say the same thing twice
Although he does not use different words, Jesse does repeat himself three times
I believe that each time he says the line,he has a different meaning for it.
We will never know the specific meaning each line has
I think they are all different.
"I'm burning like a bridge for your body" - Very passionate, he's on fire ready to envelope her in flames of lustful heat when she 'crosses that bridge'.
The fact that he sings it in a soft, sexy way emphasises the meaning.
I think the title 'tatou' shows who the song is written about - audrey tautou
It's a statement of irony on their part, they've progressed their sound so much between the two albums yet chose to call it "already heard". Another ironic observation for you, have you already heard lots of American albums titled in French? It's also kind of an observation on how nothing can be seen as original anymore and if it is it becomes cliched almost immediately as so many other people will latch on to the idea. Clever album titile ;)

Maybe because the first time I listened to it, that's exactly what I was doing, except it was on asphalt. =P
Jesse's voice is so raw. I could listen to him 24/7.
