I can't believe there are only 2 replies to this song. This is one of the best rufio songs every.

I think this song is about somebody he loved, but left his life, and he's asking himself y wait for that person if there is no more love between them....? w/e it means, it's still a good song

"thinking love is gone, its gone" meaning that if you think something is over then it is, if you never let it go it'll be with you forever.... "why wait for you to come home? why serach for answers to nothing? so dont you fall back on me and try to drag me down and whats the use and wanting life to come" < what I hear... I think that means the he is waiting and waiting for someone to come back to him and he doesnt want to anymore that he is being brought down by waiting and doesnt want that shit anymore....

This song reminds me of a girl who can't decide whether or not she wants to stay with a certain boy, so she keeps breaking up/distancing herself from him then coming back. (and repeat). Then he finally gets fed up with it.

This song always reminds me of hangin' out in San Diego, dunno why. :)

I've always listened to the EP version and just recently heard the 1985 one and wow. It's amazing. I really was caught by surprise by the backwards part. I thought something was wrong with the CD at first.

But anyway about the meaning, I agree with most of you, I think it's about how the love's gone, and he doesn't want her to come back to him, or fall back on him so he thinks, "why wait for you?" That's just my take on it.
