this is why Linkin Park kicks so much ass. They're so down to earth it's not even funny, this whole alblum describes perfectly whats going on in my life. So good in fact that some of the things Chester sings about is what I felt before I even heard the songs.

Anyway, I think Don't Stay talks about the person he loves, and that he still loves her and wants to be apart of her life, but he knows that shes not willling or that logically he knows it wont happen, and its forcing himself to believe that....

This new cd is awesome, I just got it today and I can't stop listening to it.

Basically I think gregnmarck got it right, but I think that its more of they both care for each other but its for the better to just forget it because for some reason it isn't gonna work or will ever work.

all i can say that this is an excellent album....just like the other albums. not totally the same sound as hybrid theory and takes some getting used to...but it's definitly worth it.

first of all, awesome song and awesome album! Second of all, does anyone else notice that Don't Stay sounds a LOT like Point of Authority? I think so, and maybe that's why it's my favorite song on the CD.

I love the meteora cd. I have been dealing with this crap friendship that I have, and every single song on the cd I can completely relate to it. Its kind of spooky, but good because now I have a song I scream to her if I decide to tell her. "I don't need you anymore/

I like songs that can be interpreted (sp?) more than one way, and this is one of those songs. At first I thought it was about someone mad at a girlfriend and wanting his life to go back to the way it was before, then i noticed "Sometimes I just feel like screaming at myself". Maybe the problem is not the girl, but the guy. I have a situation in my life where I screwed up a relationship for another girl... this is what I feel like saying to the other girl... "JUST GIVE ME MYSELF BACK AND DON'T STAY!"

About a month ago I broke up with a girl after 6 and a half months (which is awhile for high school). I have been tearing myself apart inside for that entire month and this past week has been the hardest of all. I had no way to let out how I feel until I bought this album and this song just portrayed about everything I wanted to get out of my system.
