I tried to kill the pain
But only brought more
(So much more)
I lay dying
And I'm pouring, crimson regret, and betrayal

I'm dying
Praying
Bleeding
Screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?
My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation

Do you remember me?
Lost for so long
Will you be on the other side?
Will you forget me?

I'm dying
Praying
Bleeding
Screaming

Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?

My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation

(Return to me salvation)
(I want to die!)

My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God! My tourniquet
Return to me salvation

My wounds cry for the grave
My soul cries, for deliverance
Will I be denied?
Christ! Tourniquet! My suicide

General Comment:She wants to commit suicide and she wants to be saved but she thinks it's too late she wants to be in heaven. She wants to deny this feeling but can't she feels denied and wants help from him and wants salvation

Song Meaning:I personally think that she has/wants to commit suicide, but still wants to go to heaven. I think this is her asking god, "If I do this unholy thing, will you still grant me entry to Heaven" ("will you be on the other side, or will you forget me"). I think that God is her "spiritual tourniquet." Her physical life has ended/will end, shes asking God for his permission/acceptance and to be a spiritual tourniquet to save her soul ("Will I be denied: christ, tourniquet, My Suicide")

My Interpretation:i believe its about suicide, they tried to end the pain by committing suicide but as they are dying they realise that they are only bringing more pain to themselves and have betrayed themselves.

she is asking God if its to late for her, is she to late to be saved, and if it is will she be accepted into heaven (after all *apparently* suicide is the unforgivable sin ---- I'm not christian so I'm guessing--)

My Interpretation:The song is about IV drug use. Probably heroin. The fact that it's called tourniquet (you put one around your arm to shoot up) and the first two lines "I tried to kill the pain, but only brought more" make that pretty obvious in my opinion.

Then there's "Am I too lost to be saved?". Is she still able to become clean or is she already too far gone? The mentions of suicide aren't referring to a direct act of suicide but to the fact that the drug is slowly killing her.

General Comment:I think it's from the perspective of someone who has just committed suicide/ is dying and it's about the controversy in Christianity that if you commit suicide, will you go to heaven or hell? She is asking God whether it is too late for her, and will she be delivered. Which really if you think about it, if all sins are forgiven after accepting Christ, why would there be an exception?

My Interpretation:I believe this song is about committing suicide, and as you're slowly dying, you kinda realize you don't want to die, and you want to be saved. One lyric says "I tried to kill my pain, but only brought more.", I think this implies that she thought suicide would end the mental/physical/verbal pain, but didn't. Another lyric is, "I lay, dying. And I'm pouring, crimson regret, and betrayal." I think this means that she is starting to regret the extra pain she put herself through (the suicide), and that she betrayed herself in a way.
This is just what I think.

General Comment:I'm not saying the song isn't about suicide, but if it isn't then how could you explain the last line. It sounds to me like she's calling Christ her suicide?

General Comment:hey how obvious this is to me being a bit of a film buff the "i long to die" is from a film 'romeo and juliet' starring claire danes which is who is actually the one talking in the song its about love and loss u all know the story juliet has married romeo without her parents blessing without her fathers blessing which is of course a sin ever heard 'honour thy father' and then she is set to marry her fathers chosen man she cannot have two husbands so she must fake her death to be happy then romeo kills himself so she is begs for forgiveness before killing herself sounds alot like the song that was a clear give away to me took me ages to figure out what film it was from! lol if you havent seen this version of rome and juliet look it up and if u dont think its right tyoe into youtube romeo and juliet part 9 hear it for your self.

My Interpretation:This actually is a Christian song. Rocky Gray, a former band member, wrote it for his band, Soul Embraced, and Ev reworked it, and made it sound way better (I heard the original. It's just some growly scary man).

I think it's written from the point of view of someone who has just committed suicide, who was a Christian, but has drifted away from God. They don't know if they can be forgiven for all the drifting away and suicide n' such (some call suicide the unforgivable sin, as you've committed murder, but cannot beg forgiveness, as you're, well...dead).

Sorry if my comment has all actually been said before, I didn't read a lot of them.
Oh yeah. Someone else said the same thing, only better. Ah well. XD
