well a person can work up
a mean mean thirst
after a hard day
of nothin much at all
summer's past
it's too late
to cut the grass
there ain't much to rake anyway
in the fall

and sometimes i
just ain't in the mood
to take my place
in the back for (?)
you're like a picture on the fridge
that's never stocked with food
i used to live at home
now i stay at their house

and everybody wants
to be someones here
they call his name out
loud and clear

here comes a regular
call out my name
here comes a regular
and by the only world(?)
here today

well a person can work up
a mean mean thirst
and then they die
in san francisco
with dick dales(?)

General Comment:This isn't technically a Ziggens song. It's from Bert Susanka's solo album.

And walkintothec is right about this being a Replacements cover.

General Comment:The original version of the song by the Replacements was written about The C.C. Club in Uptown Minneapolis. Strangely, the Replacements are on the jukebox, but not this song.

General Comment:This is originally by the Replacements, I guess. And the lyrics to that version say it's "in the back with the loudmouths"... definitely sounds like he's saying "for" here though. So who knows. Good song.
