carry the weight
and wait at the last
bloodied my leg
and buried my fist
I don't understand
I don't understand
I send it away
now it's back in my breast
and drag you to town
treat you just like a son
alone in my house
did they teach you to run?
I don't understand
I don't understand
I don't understand
and wait at the last
bloodied my leg
and buried my fist
I don't understand
I don't understand
I send it away
now it's back in my breast
and drag you to town
treat you just like a son
alone in my house
did they teach you to run?
I don't understand
I don't understand
I don't understand

looking at them now they kind of make me think of someone who has to deal with raising a step child..or an adopted child who has gone back to its natural parents, and how they can only be seen as a burden.
The song feels like it deals with irritation, that is... well, incomprehensible. Something that gets deep in the skin. Powerful to me, at being a six minute song of not understanding.
