(see a green disease, a)
(green disease, a)
(green disease)
it's a disease and they're all green
it emanates from their being
a satiation with occupation
and like weeds with big leaves
stealing light from what's beneath
where they have more
still they take more
i know, then i don't
there's a stow-away with my throat
it's deceiving, i don't believe him
we can scream out our doors
behind the wall, a fat man snores
in his dreams, he's choking ti leaves
well i guess there's nothing wrong with what you say
but don't sell me, "there can't be better ways"
tell the captain, "the boat's not safe, we're drowning"
turns out he's the one making waves, waves, waves...
well i said there's nothing wrong with what you say
believe me, i'm just asking you to sway
no white or black, just grey
can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?
brain...
see a green disease, a
grean disease, a...

My Interpretation:it's a disease and they're all green
    it emanates from their being

a Green disease can be related to money (being green in america) or envy

    a satiation with occupation

people filling themselves with their occupation, making the green disease sound more about money, and overworking to get it

and like weeds with big leaves
    stealing light from what's beneath
    where they have more
    still they take more

greedy people are never satisfied with what they have, like the billionares of this world always screwing people over to get more

    i know, then i don't
    there's a stow-away with my throat
    it's deceiving, i don't believe him

decisions based off money? not 100% sure on this one but thats what the "stow away" seems like to me

we can scream out our doors
behind the wall, a fat man snores
in his dreams, he's choking ti leaves

no idea what this section is about

well i guess there's nothing wrong with what you say
but don't sell me, "there can't be better ways"

either about anti-capitalism as mentioned before, or how fixed peoples minds can be when money is involved

tell the captain, "the boat's not safe, we're drowning"
turns out he's the one making waves, waves, waves...

sounds politically based to me, the ones leading the countries are the ones making the problems

well i said there's nothing wrong with what you say
believe me, i'm just asking you to sway

trying to get people to change their minds about the afformentioned decisions based off money?

no white or black, just grey

theres no right or wrong, only "grey" in this world

can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?

General Comment:This handy little quote can be found on the back of my 'Green Disease' t-shirt. It's pretty much self explanatory.

WARNING - THEFT AND HOARDING OF WEALTH AT THE EXPENSE AND DISREGARD OF THE LIVELIHOOD AND WELLBEING OF THE MASSES WILL RESULT IN A COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSS OF COMPASSION FOR ANY OTHER LIVING BEING AND WILL BLACKEN YOUR HEART.

General Comment:You can't base an entire song's meaning on two lines of there's plenty more lines to analyze. This sounds alot more political than anything else.

General Comment:For some reason even though I don't think Eddie gives a shit, I always thought this song was about Creed

"Theirs a stowaway with my throat,
    He's decieving, don't believe him."
That sounded like a call out to scott stapp,

Personally I don't mind Creed, I mean, it's not like you can change your voice completely when you sing, Big deal he sounds like Eddie, but I don't like it when Scott said stuff bashing Eddie.... Cause Eddie owns him....

I do not remember which show it was, but Eddie Definitely spelled out C-R-E-E-D once....

Anyways, the song also shows greedy selfish motvations as a result of the "Green Disease"

And it makes refernence to the oceans or water theme common throughout riot act....

General Comment:No Code, yeah, green refers to money.

Aside from being your typical, straight-forward anti-capitalism song, I really liked the part: "well i guess there's nothing wrong with what you say
but don't sell me, 'there can't be better ways'"
Here it seems as if the speaker is conceding that capitalism MAKES SENSE. But that, there could be another system even better (which is probable). So he may just be criticizing the greed and lust for power that capitalism may engender, but is nonetheless stating that it may be very well the best we can do right now.
Man, much better than many "South American rockers"* who are still against globalization, privatization and so forth.

    * By that I refer to Los Prisioneros, RATM and the like.

General Comment:An interprutation relating to greed, wealth and power does seem to fit.
However, what I would like to know is what does he mean by a "green disease"?
Maybe because bank notes are often green or depicted as being green, the green disease is a lust for money? I don't know.

General Comment:This song seems to represent the ignorance and greediness of humanity itself. "Fat man snores..." and "where they have more still they take more" realle emphasize how the majority of humanity needs to prioritize and stop wasting their time with greed. This song is an eye opener of society.

General Comment:well i think the captain, that must be mr. bush himself. as president of the usa, he's the captain of a boat called planet earth. so this boat not save, we're drowning means in 40 -50 years we cannot live here anymore because mr bush is making waves now.
    that's my interpretation.
