Can't pretend that you're nothing special
You've got to look at all of your options
You can't decide what to go for
When it's all about trust
You see yourself on the tv
You read your magazine
You can't explain how it's come to be this
Stop and think...
When it's all about trust

This coverage, your centre spread
Your neon light daydream will
Shatter and break
And if you think I'm thinking of
You're value here
You're the one who's losing control

This eventual stop, this break in the mould
I scream down this hotline
Just to feel something

This situation isn't getting any better
I see that look in your eyes (the look in your eyes)
You want to see a pretty face?
There isn't anything wrong with giving up
And for what it's worth
I still hate you

General Comment:It's true that he says things song is about haircuts, but there is a way deeper meaning

This song is about a boy committing suicide BECAUSE of his haircut
he likes his hair long, in his eyes, black... emo style, and hes getting bullied for it

"you got to look at all of your options"

here he is deciding to commit suicide yes or no

"you see yourself on the tv"

this is where he links himself with his favourite bands, listening to the songs he wants to hear

"i scream down this hotline just to feel something"

do i need to explain that one?

... well, thats what I have to say about it anyway

My Interpretation:i love this song. i think they're saying that you can't just think that you're not gonna go anywhere in life, because everyone can make something out of themselves as long as they have hope and determination. and then it think they're saying that you can't just dream big and expect that you'll get to where you want to without working for it.

General Comment:I think it's about fame and how it starts off great, but soon turns you into someone you never wanted to be, and then you start falling apart

General Comment:I never thought of haircuts but I see how that works...
This song could be the anthem for all those Paris Hilton haters out there.

General Comment:It seems to be about the way that the whole concept of 'fame' is something that is so over-rated and ugly and badly-spoken about that those who are good at what they do and are therefore famous for it feel that they can't get away from the fact that no matter how good they are, they're still famous. Which is something that MTV has turned into drunken fights and sleeping with the world.
