i really loved this song, but when i burned it and brought it to camp and showed my g/f(not @ the time, part way through the week) she fell in love w/ it in an instant....... her me always just sat down her in my lap and listened to it.....it really brought me down to earth with her....... the thing about missin people you love in the song....... my girlfriend lives 150 miles away and i can only go see her once maybe twice a month, so i think that this song fits us perfectly........

I think this song is totally something different. I think this is about how celebritys dont want to be thought of as bigger then thou kind of people. They would give it all away for a real relationship and Somewhere to go to, without being afriad the person is not real, or is a sell out. Thats what i think this song means.

My exboyfriend insisted I put this song on a cd I burned. It almost makes me feel sad for him. He often took me for granted and I guess he didn't realize what he was missing until I ended it. Hmm.. Lovely song.

This song proves Linkin Park are not the monotonous Rock Bands yanking their way in the showbiz.Linkin park rules,admit it sissy peewees n satanic sadists.Varasatile and inventive..its really interesting to know HOW the song was made.Anybody got an idea.For eg.in Somewhere I belong,they reversd the track of a chinese instrument and looped it non stop to make that wierd oriental-techno sound int eh ontro.

It's songs like this and like Darkness by Disturbed, Running Blind by Godsmack, Roulette by System of a Down and Nothing Else Matters by Metallica that make awesome rock/metal bands even more awesome, even though the above mentioned songs/this song are far from being metal.

idunno maybe i'm even wierder than what everyone already thinks of me - but the first time i heard this song i swear the first thing that popped into my head was "this is the perfect wedding song"

I reckon this song dexcribes many aspects of human nature: loneliness, the need to be loved, sadness, regret and so forth.

December is symbolic of a time when you are supposed to be happy and it signifies a togetherness. The singer is trying to show how for him this time of year only signifies sadness and the yearning to have someone. He strongly realises this.

Most beautifully he describes how he'd give up ANYTHING & EVERYTHING to have this. Symbolising how great and noble a pursuit love is.

The first time i heard this song, i broke down in tears, i was already feeling abit depressed, and the lyrics of this song really hit home. The opening piano piece is awesome and the vocals hit the heart. December being a time where no one wants to be alone, when you are it can be the loneliest place in the world, hence the the lyrics saying this is my december. Wishing they didnt upset the people they love, and wishing for a place to go home to. This so really shows what its like when you are sorry for something and yet you cant tell those people that you are so you feel alone.

i think it also shows how very broken u are. and how u would do anything possible just to find that someone. not just because u are alone, but because u feel and know ur missing that something. "it's so much harder to hold on when ur reaching for so much more" from crossfade.

So... my roommate was listening to Josh Groban and I realized that he was singing this song... I doubt that Josh Groban writes his own songs anyways, but I just wouldn't see him taking a Linkin Park song to do, although I could kinda see linkin park taking one of his songs and doing something cool with it. I don't know though... who wrote it?

i think its a song about being promiscuous and slutty, sleeping around and giving it all away just so you can not be alone when u wake up, just like to have someone there. in a way i think its a very gay song. its amazing though

I love this song. and I don't really know what to say about it. It kinda makes me feel lonely...yay...I really like the atmosphere of the song. it's kinda dark and moody i guess you could say...

Phrencorn - Mike Shinoda wrote the song, hence it is a Linkin Park song that Josh Groban did a cover of. I know this because, if you were ever to look in the insert of Josh Groban's "Closer" CD (17 track special edition, which my mom loves) it says "My December" written by Mike Shinoda. and the sad part is I didn't know Linkin Park had ever done this song until my mom bought that CD and I was like "Hey, that's the Linkin Park Mike" though those probably weren't my exact words...

In reality...everyone is alone...In one way or another. It's nice to see Chester sing a slow song. But Linkin Park is known for their hard songs and creative lyrics. Screaming is what they are about and I think they should stick with it. LP is one of the greatest bands ever. Stop telling us other bands we should listen to. Maybe they aren't the persons style...If you want to waste your time telling us LP sucks, fine. But you aren't going to change are minds...

a truly beautiful song. i'm a big fan of the way linkin park uses simple words that move your heart nonetheless. this is a song about love and not wanting to lose it through mistakes, and how we would give anything to have someone. who would want to be alone without love? this is linkin park at it's most ceative and versatile. here's a good song for relationships to let someone know what they mean to you.

This song is about lonleyness and love...It is when you are lonley...You dont have anyone to call your own...Anyone to hold on to and love like you would a partener. Its about just wanting to give it all away to find love once again

This Song is totally awesome, Linkin Park is the shit!!! LOL... I do like Hybrid Theory the best of the other CD's though, Reanimation is just a mix cd, but it's still cool though, Meteora has new songs and are pretty cool
