well, backstreet boys and nsync and crap like that are totally different style of music than linkin park.

so wait... if you like a band, but you dont know about the history of the genre of music they play, youre a teeny? i love the sound of mike rapping to the music, thats the key difference, the type of music the person is rapping to. i hate rap, alone, like 50 cent or eminem.

just wondering, do you like operation ivy? you know their story?

i respect your opinion, im not like some other people in the lpu (linkin park underground) who would go and kick someones ass if they didnt like linkin park, i could really care less, but i, also, defend my opinion to others.

wow a lot of crap from the review crew here. Nevermind that...this song means a lot. It's about being alone...caught up in a "December"-like mood...the kind you get when you've been stuck in your house alone for so long with nobody and regretting that you didn't let somebody stay with you. The speaker (actually, the singer(s) in this case) regrets letting this other person (sig. other, loved one, etc.) person go because of a stupid thing/stupid things they said and they wish they could fix this and now that the person's gone, they're stuck in this depressed mood. I know the feel of this song all too well...

Well....actually, Nsync etc arn't all that different to LP as they both sound similar, just LP use guitars, but....they both have dj's, both wear trendy ass clothes and both suck ;)

Yeah, I'd say if you don't know the history of the music genre you're pretty much a trendy. It's like they hear one band off that genre and think that its the best in the world, when I can think of 200 bands off the top of my head who are much better talented, have better lyrics and are more original than this corporate crap that Linkin Park put out. You put LP in a group of 100 other Nu metal bands, would you be able to tell who Linkin Park were? I think not.

And wait...you like the rap in LP, so...if Emimem was to guest star in one of LP's songs you would like it? Actually....that'll probably happen someday.

To my this song kind of spells out the "you don't know what you've got till its gone" Mentallity. And i really relate to it..you could be the most succesful person in the world but if you don't have the person that makes you feel alive inside then nothing means shit without them and you feel so alone.

To OneManWhore.....why don't you stop being such a nazi by trying to tell everyone that linkin park sucks are you some sort of fuckin professional music critic i mean have you ever won a grammy or somethin??? Listen to what you like and stop trashing bands that you don't... i'm sure you couldn't do anything better and if you think you can then go for it....mayba i'll see ya on VH1's one hit wonders someday

op ivy was a band that broke themselves up because they were getting "too popular". i thought you might like them for some reason.

okay, a few points to make.
a. if you don't like the band, what are you doing in here telling the rest of us that like them how bad they suck? this makes you look stupid.

b. this is about the music, not a hookup page or a personal message board.

c. i saw linkin park live and they fucking kicked ass. i heard this song and at the time i had never heard it, but i still thought it was so sweet and beautiful. then i found the lyrics and loved it even more.

d. chester can obviously sing and not just scream all the time (but we love him anyway...well i do)

e. linkin park is NOT nsync! crikey, people!

and i saw linkin park at download 2004, and they were excelent, even my iron maiden fan friend agreed they were superb.

also, i have only one further thing to say, which i said to an old friend after he commented 'but its linkin park! there crap!' when i went to dance to one of tehre songs:

Truly one of Linkin Park's best songs. On another note, I think it is good that this song was not put onto an actual album because it would not have sounded right. With the whole theme/genre and everything.

This song reminds me of my brother's suicide.
I think it's about suicide as to how you'd give it all away, just to be able to hold that one person again.
Or, to be able to see that one person again.
And, also, with the title being My December, to me it's saying that you want it even more in December because it's cold, and lonely.
Also, how he says that he'd take back all of the things he said, I think that means that he wants to take back all of the things that made that person feel as if they had to commit suicide because no one cared.

this song somehow gives me a feeling that a relationship thatz broken up will be a painful 1. and this song is very unique in itz L.P standards, but i love it. It might be a little sad, but itz certainly VERY moving. Chester and mike rock, and their band is the BEST. Chester, if ur listening, then i want to tell u 2 continue being succesfull in life with mike and the rest of da guys, and keep making the great type of music u do . My december is an awesome song, and LP ROCK!!!!

this song is about someone who has nothing because they tried to make everyone happy without giving themself a second thought. trying to scrape their life back in order, trying to make it all better, and it's not working, and there is nothing they can do about it but watch their life fade away. everyone has their own meaning to this song. and everyone is right. this song explains me.

I don't really like the band (but before u start PMSing on me) I love this song i dloaded it christmas day and for me its a christmas song. to me its about just a certin place that is familiar to you and you will always go there sometime just to be alone, to think, to forget, and just to be. i love this song more than anything.
