Little Sammy was a punk rocker
You know his mother never understand him
Went to his room and smashed his Billy Bragg record
Didn't want him to hear that communist lecture
Little Sammy was a punk rocker
You know his mother tried to take him to war
Sammy, now the war is over
Sammy, now we're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
Little Sammy was a punk rocker
Now it's time for you to leave home
Sammy, now the war is over
Sammy, now we're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
You know his mother never understand him
Went to his room and smashed his Billy Bragg record
Didn't want him to hear that communist lecture
Little Sammy was a punk rocker
You know his mother tried to take him to war
Sammy, now the war is over
Sammy, now we're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
Little Sammy was a punk rocker
Now it's time for you to leave home
Sammy, now the war is over
Sammy, now we're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end
We're at the wars end

Either way, great song. I saw them play this in Montreal a few weeks ago and they did it slower without any drums, it was reallyg good.
i never really thought before that "war" isnt literal, just a metaphore for the escalating tension between sammy and his parents. this whole album is so poetic but in a really hard, punk way.
