Lyrics for You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I ... as interpreted by ikari

You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I ... Lyrics
Dead bull with a life from the low
I’ll be massive conquistador
Give me soul or show me the door
Metal heavy, soft at the core
Gimme toro, gimme some more

Pressurize, neutralize
Deep fried, gimme some more

Space flunky, four on the floor
Fortified with the liqour store
This one's down, gimme some more
Gimme toro, gimme some more

Shrunken head I love to adore
"B" movie, gimme some gore
Gimme toro, gimme some more
"B" movie, gimme some gore

Gimme toro, gimme some more

yeah, Queens aren't much for lyrics. I guess that's why, lyrically their songs are short, but musically they're like 4 - 6 minutes long. don't really know what this song means, or most of their songs. but i like the "B Movie, give me some gore" line myself.

it was originally on the desert sessions, sung by mario lalli (fatso jetson) and the lyrics might be his

most desert sessions lyrics are made up fairly quickly and normally jokingly

"Queens aren't much for lyrics", What are you on about? That's why they are a great band they spend time on lyrics rather than the loads of crappy songs godsmack and disturbed crank out. Wait sorry, my bad i mentioned queens in the same paragraph as disturbed. sorry. Anyways, this song is pure balls to the wall, great for getting amped up.

I think this song is pretty much about the need to drop everything that you're doing, grab a gun, get piss drunk, and do whatever the hell you want in a crazy masochistic orgy of bullets and beer.

I think the lyric "Give me soul or show me the door
Metal heavy, soft at the core" kinda sums it up pretty well. The need to kick ass, and if no one's kicking ass, then they're gonna be the ones doing it.

Heh. I just like the song. I thought it was too harsh at first, but then... it grew on me. A lot. I love how it stops and you think it's done, but oh no, they aren't finished with you yet :o) I have to agree with what's already been said.. it's about kicking arse, plain and simple. What a way to start their new album!

I like how you can push the << button and go back before the song even starts and hear what is supposedly "the real song for the deaf"

Does anyone else know about this? I just read it on the internet, otherwise I never would have known about it. Are there any other CD's that do this?

the CD specification allows for "empty space" at the start of a track. you can put music on there. its sort of difficult to explain but basically sometimes you'll watch the time display on a cd player and as one track ends and another begins, there's a pause for a few seconds between the songs and the timer displays -0:02, -0:01, 0:00 then the song starts. well that "pause" can be as long as you want it to be and it can contain music. say track 5 on a cd has a few seconds of this 'hidden' music at the start. if you let the cd play from track 4 on to track 5 then you will hear the music in the "minus section". but if you were to go directly to track 5 you wouldn't hear that. well, qotsa did this on songs for the deaf, but for the first track, so you never hear the "minus section" unless you rewind the cd back before the beginning. it doesn't work if you've downloaded the cd, stay legit.

other artists who've used this include NIN and reel big fish.

as far as the meaning of millionaire... this song is just raw energy. a friend once suggested to me it was the theme song to every 'B' movie, and that makes sense. if you know the movie's going to be crappy the least you can do is have a good time watching it somehow. even if that means getting drunk, waving capes, shooting guns, or taking hallucinogenic drugs. whenever this song ends you just want more of it. brilliant really.

Yes, it's a great song.

I've seen CD's that put stuff in that "minus section" but never at the beginning. Do the NIN & Reel Big Fish CD's have it at the beginning too? If so, which albums?

I just found out that Toro is a really cheap type of tequila...tastes horrible. I can picture these guys just getting super drunk with some cheap tequila out in the desert, making jokes, and singing: give me some more

ah, dude2003, i think qotsas cool for exactly the opposite reason. i think theyre cool because they dont spend so much time trying to make their songs deep and meaningful and all that, they just say whatever the hell comes to their minds and then put it on top of some awesome music. just pure, no bullshit metal. no gimmicks or anything, they just rock the fuck out, and i think thats what this song is, just in this song, theyre rocking especially hard!

The radio parts were influenced by a car journey Homme took through the desert, and all he could get the whole time were two crappy Spanish-language radio stations.

Then again, you can never believe anything that the band says in interview - they bullshit a lot. Which is great!
