    General Comment:Aside from all the title and history of this song. I believe that this song is a tribute to his father (dead or alive), And it's inspirational to let other people know to cherish those around you and not be so petty that you loose the chance to tell them how you REALLY feel. There's another song similar to this (to me). "If I never wake, in the morning. Would she ever doubt the way I feel about her in my heart? 'Cause if tomorrow never comes, would she know how much I loved her?"

    General Comment:Alright. This song IS actually called 4A.M. The song has a dual meaning. One is that they're the initials of Raine Maida's dad, the other is that the song was completely written in the hour of 4am. The meaning of this song was that Raine Maida had a dream his dad was in the hospital and he didn't have a chance to say he loved his dad before he died.

    General Comment:No okay people. The song is him and his father were fighting, and his dad left and was driving and got in a car crash and called him and said whatever and then died. It makes sense if you listen.

    General Comment:I think that this song is about a guy who isn't really close to his father, because if you read the lyrics it clearly says "I blamed my FATHER for all the wasted years we hardly talked" and he gets a phone call that his father passed away or something has happend to him. Then he regrets not getting close to his father and passing up all the opportunitys such as playing outside with his father when he was a little kid. When it says " And If I don't make it know that I loved you all along" I think that means if he can't deal with the fact that something has happend to his father then he just wants him to know that he really did love him even if they were never really that close.

    General Comment:I think its about this guy who loves this girl but acts fake and not bing his true self. She ends their relationship by phone callm so he gets up and thinks and takes in what just happened to him. After a few years after they break up he is diahnosed with disease or illness that he might not live through, but he wants her to always remember no matter what happened he will always love her
