Ready
Darkness cover me

I'm not ready to die, girl
Because of what you don't tell me
I'm not ready to walk inside of where you're taking me
I'm not ready to die, girl
Because of what you don't tell me
I'm not willing to compromise the man I want to be

Think you're a little bit closer
To changing me
You're never winning me over
You're wasting time

Leave me be

I'm not ready to die, girl
Because of what you don't tell me
I'm never going to tow the line of your conformity
I'm not ready to die, girl
Because of what you don't tell me
I'm not ready to leave the realm of anonymity

Think you're a little bit closer
To changing me
You're never winning me over
You're wasting time

Get away from me

Think you're a little bit closer
To changing me
You're never winning me over
You're wasting time

General Comment:I agree with SFDisturbed... This song seems to be about a girlfriend/mistress/wife that is trying to change him and/or control him. The name bound probably stands for him being bound to her,"think your a little bit closer to changing me" shows it right there, and like he says "you wasting time-Leave me be".

According to David, this song describes the new tragedy of our lives, that even if we find love, the life we have chosen does not seem to want to let us keep it."

My Interpretation:My interpretation of the song is a little more vague than the song initially seems. I believe it is more about music as an art, instead of music as a means of making money. Disturbed is trying to avoid the mainstream scene and selling out. I have a feeling they were bothered by a manager or a record label during the making of the song. Makes total sense to me knowing how the music business treats artists these days. BTW Believe is definately the best Disturbed album.

General Comment:Interesting how the song says she's wasting her time and that he'll never change for her, but the song is called "Bound." So, obviously it's not that easy to ignore her and she's not really wasting time?

General Comment:the weird thing is that he's "not ready to leave the realm of anonymity" but it seems like the girl that's trying to change him is trying to get him to be anonymous and not stand out of the crowd; she's trying to get him to be like everyone else. the thing that i find funny though is that i'm listening to disturbed because it's my boyfriend's favorite band and normally i wouldn't listen to this kind of music, but i find the messages in the songs very good. in a relationship, i think both people need to change to conform slightly to each other, but it should definitely be a willing change and not one enforced by the other person.

General Comment:"darkness cover me!" The same as the song "Darkness"
"let the Darkness cover me." I just made that connection a while ago. I don't know if it significant or the songs are connected but they could.

General Comment:Coinciding with the name of the album from which this song came: this song is all about believing in yourself, and not letting anyone change the essence of who you are.

General Comment:When he says "I'm not ready to die" what he means by that is he's not ready to let who he is die. He won't let anyone change who he is.

General Comment:I'm quite sure "I'm not ready to die" means refusing to change into something "lifeless". It's quite apperent, that it's not about death at all.
