People like you
You live in a dream world
You despise the outside
And you fear you're the next one

It's in your dream
There's just one question
Should I kill
Or should I be left behind

Sick and tired
Of all your complaints
This is the hour
We bring it down

I've come to realize
Every little glimpse, you fade
I was told that I could fly
When least expected, cloud connected

You seem to be
So introverted
How come we fail
With all that is given

You crossed the line
You remember my name
Time runs backwards
As long as you are heading that way

My Interpretation:A lot of people, so I notice, think this deals with religions, or even drugs. I don't feel so.

Let's analyze the title "Cloud Connected." Clouds, for the most part, are going to be up in the sky, and far from the earth below. The same way a literal dream is not just the experience of outer, physical phenomena, but something more internal -- even accessing "another world," a higher world.

I admit, some of the parts of this song I do not fully comprehend.

But, I think the chorus is a dead giveaway of a more esoteric meaning:
"What I've come to realize, with every little glimpse you fade." Almost as if, we are searching for an understanding to reality, who, what and why we are; why this entire universe is. He feels like, when he catches a glimpse, a taste of this understanding, it merely fades, and he is back into this stupor, a state of darkness and ignorance.

"I was told that I could fly, when least expected, cloud connected." I take this very literal -- the suggestion of an actual ascension beyond the physical realm. Almost, an "Astral" experience. Out of body experience, etc. Accessing higher realms. Similar to Marilyn Manson talking about "getting his wings," the ability to recognize that within each human is his or her "own God." We are divine beings, not made of this gross physical matter, but indeed "cloud connected" to higher dimensions.

The line, "You crossed the line.. you remember my name..." This I feel is a very sacred experience. Perhaps crossing into a higher dimension, and retaining awareness, and there, recalling the "Logos," which is the Word, or archetype which is used as a pattern for all that exists.

"Time runs backwards as we're heading that way." This is a reference to more abstract experiences that might happen in higher realms, where indeed, time may even run backwards.. stop, or cease to exist, etc.

"When least expected, clouded connected," he may have been enlightened when least expecting it. He may have not been meditating, or searching, or really doing anything to provoke the experience -- but it happened! He was told by higher entities that there is much BEYOND.

General Comment:i think its quite clear its a song about the religious.

    People like you
You live in a dream world
    You despise the outside
    And you fear next one!

    It's in your dream
    There's just one question
    Should I kill?
Or should I be left behind?

the religious especially directed at those who believe salvation is through killing your enemy.

    Sick and tired
    Of all your complaints
    This is the hour
    We bring it down!

this is about non religious, about bringing down this mid set. and the complaints the religious.

    You seem to be
    So introverted
    How come we fail
    With all that is given?

aimed more towards the christian ideas of why things are so wrong when we have been given supposedly so much from christ and the lord.

    You crossed the line
    You remember my name
    Time runs backwards
    As we're heading that way!

obviously aiming that the religious who look to past deeds as divinity incarnate and how its going to eventually wipe us out, witch is very common with religious war.

My Interpretation:There are a lot of ideas of what group of people the band is talking to, but I think it's directed to overly zealous religious types. The first four lines mention a dream world (one religion), fearing the outside (the "real" world), and fearing the next one (afterlife).

The next three lines ask is violence worth keeping your dream (one religion) alive. While the next two express the writer's answer.

Not sure about the next two lines, but the last two sound like the promise of salvation to those who are faithful to God (cloud connected).

The last part of the song sounds like a little bit of ridicule for being so withdrawn and selfish, then a warning that this way of thinking will not lead to any sort of progress.

This is a great song. Let's keep throwing ideas out!!

i think this song is about drugs, how he feels when hes doped -- and most of theyr songs are like this i think -- ... i just realised this, im not sure if im right...

"sick and tired of all your complaints
"this is the hour we bring it down!

"i was told that i could fly // yeahhh .. i was told the same
" oh, when least expected // what ?
    "CLOUD CONNECTED

maybe he's talking of the usual world, not the drugworld, but i think that cloud connected is a little exageting when u are talking about reality ...

General Comment:This song is about people who are crazy, hence the name Cloud Connected (Being "up there") and don't like the outside world, so they live away from it in their own little happy place.

General Comment:This song is about people who shelter themselves.

''You live in a dream world you despise the outside'', it's pretty clear.

''How could you be so introverted?'' This confirms that

However, I don't understand the cloud connected part
