I got a twenty-dollar bill
That says no one's ever seen you without makeup.
You're always made up.
And I'm sick of your tattoos
and the way you always criticize the Smiths.
and Morrissey.

And I know that you're a sucker for anything acoustic.
But when I say let's keep in touch,
I really mean I wish that you'd grow up.
This is the first song for your mix tape.
It's short just like your temper,
But somewhat golden like the afternoons
We used to spend before you got too cool.

I got a twenty-dollar bill
that says no one's ever seen you without makeup.
You're always made up.
And I'm sick of your tattoos
And the way you don't appreciate Brand New
And me.

And I know that you're a sucker for anything acoustic.
But when I say let's keep in touch,
I hope you know I mean I wish that you'd grow up
This is the first song for your mix tape
And it's short just like your temper
But somewhat golden like the afternoons
We used to spend before you got too cool.

Yeah, but I wish you were my shadow (repeat 4x)

General Comment:the song is about the lead singer of TBS alot of the emotions in this song about him can be heard on most tracks throughout this enitre album
it pretty much chronicalizes the fact that the lead singer of TBS hasnt grown up and he hasnt acceepted the fact that he was the one at fault
but afterwords TBS on the tell all your friends album made "theres no "I" in team" which was te whole situation between him, jesse, and jesses girl from his point of view.
he uses the twenty dollar bill line and also uses the line from seventy times 7 which was taken from an actual conversation that had taken place between the two
it was about jesse and how he acted after but was also about moving on the whole sorta bros before hoes type thing i guess and apologizing for the whole thing saying in was "unforgivable"
which they had did and now both bands are as close as they used to be

General Comment:I think this song refers to the book, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
Charlie makes a Mixtape for his friend Patrick, The Smiths are his favorite band and are mentioned many times throughout the book. I think this song refers to Charlies relationship with Mary Elizabeth. Read the book you will understand.

General Comment:theboohi, John Nolan and Jesse Lacey got together and produced "There's No 'I' in Team" True story. Listen to Seventy Times 7, same 2nd verse.

General Comment:this song seems to be about a girl who the singer used to chill with ( possibly go out with) but he had to break up with her because she was too focused on trival things like how she looked and what music is cool enough to listen to. i really like the " somewhat golden like afternoons we used to spend before you got too cool"

General Comment:Ineedsleepingpills, that is one of the most informative and intense ways I've ever seen anyone look at this situation, also because it's recent that you've commented do you think any of the references are ironic to John Nolan forming Straylight Run 2 years later? I've been trying to make a playlist "in order" as accurate as possible of what songs were shot back to other ones between the two (three counting adam) just to kind of get the feel of what they're trying to say in the songs that are referring to each other, because like you've mentioned it's not just 70x7 and There's No 'I' In Team. Kudos for awesome evaluation.
