regrets are worthless
they misconstrue the past in sight and sound
and as lines recede
no one speaks a word of his lust
a word of dreams that've been left to rust
the tv's on and everyone stays calm.
as time has passed
no one understands and to say the least
the years have been unfair
i wanted to tell you
i miss it
i just wanted to let you know
the last year has helped me grow
i want to take you on the road
where we'll go
i'll never know
will you come along
it's easier when no place feels like home
i said i want out
i want to take you out of this
and go to California
'cause I want to take you on a ride
i'll set things right
i know the direction in which to go
i'll set things right and say goodnight.

General Comment:This is my all time favorite song. I first heard it a year ago on a mix cd my brother made for me. I didn't know who Midtown was (ah! sin!) and i jsut fell in love. Before i knew it, they were on my list of favorites. I listen to this song every day and it just keeps getting better and better. When i first saw Midtown live, i was so excited. They rock live, and when they played "No Place feels like home", i was in tears. This song touches me so deeply. It really says alot about relationships and how you just want it all back again.
    BEST SONG EVER!

could you say anything more true?
you know, i used to be all about living in the past, but after listening to this song (about a billion times) my attitude totally changed
    hooray for midtown

General Comment:this song is by no means Midtown's catchiest, but is by all means their best. if you know what i mean. the message is strong but it isn't delivered in a way that would make it stick in your head. still, the lyrics are what makes a song the 'best'. i've heard they've changed their style. i sure hope not!

General Comment:same as somegurlsarecrazy. this was my first midtown song and definitely the one that hits home (pardon pun). like the fact that it opened with "regrets are worthless" and is repeated through the song. am currently going through a major relationship regret and i've since been longing in vain for the comfort of "home".
