I'm a popstar threat and I'm not dead yet
Got a super dred bet with an angel drug head
Like a dead beat winner, I want to be a sinner
An idolized bang for the industry killer
A hideous man that you don't understand
Throw a suicide party and I'm guaranteed to fucking snap
I'm supersonic, its pornoholic
Breakdowns, obscenities its all I want to be
If you're 555, then I'm 666
If your 555, I'm 666
(whats it like to be a heretic?)
Everybody's so infatuated
Everybody's so completely sure of what we are
Everybody defamates from miles away
But face to face they haven't got a thing to say
I bleed for this and I bleed for you
Still you look at my face like I'm somebody new
Toy- nobody wants anything I've got
Which is fine because your made of
Everything-I'm-not
If you're 555, then I'm 666
If you're 555, I'm 666
(whats it like to be a heretic?)
Thirty seconds, sixteen, eight, four, lemme tell you why
I haven't the slightest, I'm teaching your brightest
They're listening, clamoring
All the money in the world can't buy me
Go ahead, lie to me
Tell me again how you're tortured
I want to know how you fallowed your orders so well
Your full of shit
You had a dream, but this ain't it
If you're 555, then I'm 666
If you're 555, I'm 666
(What's it like to be a heretic?)
Got a super dred bet with an angel drug head

I think this song is against fake bands that sellout to the industry. So if you're a band that used to play metal, but then you switched to pop because it is the biggest in the music industry then you are being made fun of in this song.
This band is also against people who think Slipknot as these total satanic and evil misfits just because they are different and don't morph into what the industry wants.
I saw a interview of Corey Taylor and he says he likes to reach out to the people in the world that feel out of place or feel like misfits just because they are original. And that his music helps them to release that inner rage. So Slipknot is branded as these freaks just because they don't change just to impress the majority of people, and Hollywood. He also said in the interview that Hollywood doesn't like to include them. And that making the masks is all they want to do with Slipknot. Nothing else.
To put it simply I think this song is about their hate for things such as Hollywood and anyone for not understanding them. Branding them as satanic.
In any case, the song's meaning has been beat to death for goin on 10 years now especially considering there simply isn't that much "to" this song lyrically (or musically really, this cut always struck me as kind of an unfinished song). Pretty self-explanatory, raggin on the panty-waist limp dicks that comprise the modern music industry.
