(Neil Young)

Hey hey my my
rock and roll will never diet
here's more to the picture than meets the eye
hey hey my my

you're out of the blue and into the black
they give you this but you pay for for that

and when you die, no you dont come back
cos your out of the blue and into the black

my my hey hey
rock and roll is here to stay

it's better to burn out than to fade away
my my hey hey

General Comment:Noel first covered this in Seattle on the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death.

I have the bootleg ina box somewhere, I think it was the 7th anniversary.

From what I can remember Noel says something like "this one's for Kurt Cobain who died seven (?) years ago today". At the end Liam walks back on and says something like "that was the bollocks man"

Cobain used the words "it's better to burn out than to fade away" in his suicide note.

It was never meant to be played again but Noel liked it so much when he heard it back that it was included in the rest of the SOTSOG tour.

General Comment:Great cover. Noel could go solo with all his material he never released. I'd love at least one solo album from him.
