I smell the sound of a growing gash
With pop sensibilities
K Q E D
It's a tune that equals you

I feel
Hallelujah
I fail
Bulemia
I'm frail
Hallelujah
I fell
salting the back of a snail

And this is worship and this is tribute
Am I crumbling, ripping or failing?
Knowing you fit, you fit, you fit in
And, and you fit in

K Q E E E E E E D
It's a tune that equals you

I feel
Hallelujah
I fail
Bulemia
I'm frail
Hallelujah
I fell
salting the back of a snail

And am I worshiping or am I tributing?
Loving, crumbling, ripping or failing
My Turkish prison is knowing I fit in
And, and I fit in

Feeding time an old friend of mine
At the leper zoo, yeah, yeah
Que sera? Erotic hurrah
With no rescue, girl

Feeding time an old friend of mine
At the leper zoo, yeah, yeah
Que sera? Erotic hurrah
It's cool be cool, girl

Sailor, sailor
Sailor, sailor
Sailor scent
Sailor, sailor
Scent sailor
Sailor, sailor
Scent

And worship, tribute
Crumbling, ripping, and failing
Knowing you fit, you fit, you fit in
And, and you fit in

Feeding time an old friend of mine
At the leper zoo, yeah, yeah
Que sera? Erotic hurrah
With no rescue, girl

Feeding time an old friend of mine
At the leper zoo, yeah, yeah
Que sera? Erotic hurrah
It's cool be cool, girl

Sailor scent
Sailor scent
Sailor scent
Sailor scent
Sailor, sailor

General Comment:The song is about selling yourself out to be accepted by the masses. He references KQED which was a broadcasting station in san diego. This in conjunction with the bulimia reference, and "knowing you fit in" as well as the sexual reference "salting the back of a snail" all aim towards someone selling out who they are to fit in with what they see on tv, much like Ray Cappo and the sraightedge movement.

General Comment:There's a lot of clues that Daryl is no longer straight edge, there's many drug references throughout the album. I hear "This is worship and this a tribute to my drug life" in the first chorus.

General Comment:The way Daryl sings "And.." and the whole "Feeding time" verse are possibly my favorite moments on any GJ song.

I always thought it was generally about feeling weak and as if you're not special.

General Comment:yeah it is about Ray Cappo. not so much about the event but the effect it had on him.

all that stuff about fitting in etc, is about Straight-Edge and how daryl pretty much did it all in vain.

it IS what its about. theres no question.

General Comment:clearly shittyopinion has the right idea. im pretty sure lanimilbus is a moron because if you read most interviews with daryl, he doesnt mention practically anything about ray cappo and his selling out. fuck.

    General Comment:This song isn't about ejaculating on people, or homosexuality, or bulimia, or any of those other things; raid357 got it right. This song is about Ray Cappo, Daryl Palumbo's idol, breaking edge and selling out. Wikipedia even says this;

"The song "Two Tabs Of Mescaline" by glassJAw is about Daryl Palumbo's loss of faith in Ray and how his "selling out" caused Daryl to cease being Straight Edge."

Granted, I can't really understand what the lyrics have to do with Palumbo's idol selling out, but that IS what this song was written about.

General Comment:I know when Daryl sings "salting the back of a snail" he is talking about ejaculating on someone, because in some performances of this song he does the "jacking-off" motion when he sings this part.
