Laetitia, you destroy me, so I
Can see why I feel so lonely
When you and me could be forever
Perfectly perfect together.
I know.

Broken down in my dead bedroom,
Stuttering to pictures of you.
I'm sure that you can always
See me.

I saw you staring through the
TV last night.
So I'll leave my door open all
Night, in case you decide you

Want to stop on by.
Because you got to know who's
Been singing that song on
The radio.

The one that goes...
My friends all call me crazy
Cause I stay up late anticipating,
And planning for the day I sweep
You off your feet, I'd never leave
You alone.

Laetitia, you got my hand shaking,
I'm begging you oh baby please
Stop breaking my heart because I
Got the feeling that you and I
Will never really get it on.

So I'll leave my door open all
Night in case you decide you want
To stop on by.
Because you got to know who's been

Singing that song on the radio.
The one that goes...
Girl, come to me.
The only broken-hearted lose
You'll ever need, or I'll be left
Alone forever with my magazines.

Well it's quite obvious he's talking about Laetitia, she's a Victoria's Secret model.........not that I look at victoria's secret or anything.......damn. Yeah it's your cookie-cutter "Boy falls in love with the famous chick and feels they have a special connection even though they'll never meet" love song. Catchy stuff, though.

before brian (drummer of brand new) told me that it was about the model...

i thought it was a song about porno magazines. never being able to get a girl in the sack... so youre stuck alone forever with your porn... and your hand... and that box of condoms youll never use...

    that sort of thing.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
