i take this song being about someone who fucked you over, by being selfish , liar, or just up out inconsiderate. And this person singing the song is just saying hey fuck you! never again. your not going to change me or have my friends. fuck you!

I think that

I'm knocking let me in"

is where in the end he is stoned/drunk and he still wants her, or missing being with her. I know the that rest of the lyrics don't really match though.

It's like in the beginning, his all like 'fuck you, I'll do what I want' when she makes him choose between drinking/get high, and so he dumps her. But when his stoned, he misses having someone there and begs her to let him in her house. After doing that, he totally regrets, and thinks she's a bitch for taking advantage of him while he was drunk/high. Maybe she even hit on Mikey and his friends while she was with him, resulting in him and all his friends calling her a whore.

They're just amazing.

I think it's about a girl he was once with who used to sort of control him and he's sort of saying, "Well fuck you!"

and she's pissed off and he's like, "Sorry honey, we're not working out- get the fuck over it. And don't touch my brother, and don't even try to fuck my friends because you're a fucking whore!"

the title is pretty self explanatory, i could figure out what it was about before i really heard the lyrics.

it's basically about getting rid of the stuff you dont need. hence "this mirror isnt big enough for the two of us"

i love this song, it makes me wanna get up and jump or something idk haha. it reminds me of this annoying girl i used to be friends with.

"and the beauty that im faking lets me live my life like this" is my favorite part.

its about drugs (mirrors being associated with cocaine use), and a girl whom gerard has described as "a fat whore". she obviously wants him to stop doing drugs, but he likes the life, stating that he chose it. i think after that she pretty much cracks onto his brother tries to take his friend etc.

its a tradition to snort cocaine from a mirror
maybe its about his drug addiction, and how he thought, fuck this, this mirror isnt big enough for me and the cocaine
that said, he also supposedly wrote it about an ex of mikeys who cheated on him
i love old school mcr. i actually cant stand what theyve become and what they stand for now, i mean, the new musics ok, but nothing compared to this. for me, these are the songs that i can connect to. gerard used to be such an inspiration for me. i clung on to that, stood by it for ages until he turned his back on everything hed ever said in the past.

I liked B12's interpretation of it being Mikey, Gerard, and Frank's points of view. It makes sense that way, if it was about a former girlfriend of Mikey's who was a total bitch. Or it could be the other way around.....

for me this song is oviously a very angry breakup song and he's basically saying "i don't care what you try to do or what you say, you won't change my mind and it's over" type of thing. i could relate this song to an ex bf once. love it

this song is so poetic, and so dark. It's songs like this that make me worship MCR. Gerard's writitng is amazing. to me it means (in short): fuck you, get out of my life, get away from the people around me you whore.
the lines :and you can't keep my brother and you won't fuck my friends
makes it obv. she's a whore. and the title is like, 2 totally different characters who shouldn't gel together in one relationship and it wont work like when people fight over mirrors backstage before a concert or a play or a musical etc, so one of them has to fuck off, and Gerard is definately not going anywhere.

i think the 'vanity i'm breaking let's me live my life like this' has to do with the breakfast on a mirror thing because a vanity usually has a mirror on it so if you break it you get pieces of it and if you do coke off of a mirror then it's like the pieces from the vanity help you do lines.

does anyone know what frank is screaming at the end in the background?

i think this song is about someone who likes partying and that whole scene, and the person they're with, doesn't like it and tries to get him to stop but he doesn't want to stop, so he tells her that its not working out. idk could be wrong.

either way its an amazing song...though i think Headfirst For Halos is better
