Hey yo when this first started off it was just Linkin Park...
Then in the middle came Motion Man...
And at the end of it all it was Kutmasta Kut wit a remix [echo]

One thing I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme when I was obsessed with time
All I know, time was just slipping way

And I watched it count down till the end of the day
Watched it watch me and the words that I say
The echo of the clock rhythm in my veins
I know that I didn't look out below

And I watched the time go right out the window
Trying to grab hold, trying not to watch
I wasted it all on the hands of the clock
But in the end no matter what I pretend

The journey is more important than the end or the start
And what it meant to me will eventually be
A memory of the time when I tried so hard

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

Yo one thing, one thing I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme to explain the due time
All I know, time to so-socialize like the host of the party

All for shake and made eye contact
Party control showing all that
Northeast, southwest coast
Stand out the window, no opportunity to mingle

I tried to show her, if you could just sense a middle disorder
I brought you back of the thing
Like the imaginary man of your dreams
Well, you would always seem to make it worth it

A sleek skin I never nerved you
You felt lovin, I never applied a room
Without bringing the plan
By any means and means of leaving you teens,
Of all those teenage scenes, I tried so hard

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

Linkin park, remix, Mo Mo Mo Motion Man
Linkin park, in the end, Kutmasta Kutmasta Kut Kutmasta Kurt
Linkin park, remix, Mo Mo Motion Man
Linkin park, in the end, Kutmasta Kurt

One thing I don't know how
It doesn't even matter when you look at it now
Because when I designed this rhyme I was scared of it all
Scared to fall, I hadn't even tried to crawl

And I was forced to run, with you mocking me
Stopping me, back stabbing me constantly
Remembering all those times you fought with me
Watch the clock now chop full of hypocrisy

And now your mouth wishes it could inhale
Every single little thing you said and make it expel
Every single word you sputter just to get your piece, but it really doesn't matter to me
Because from the start to the end no matter what I pretend

The journey is more important than the end or the start
And what it meant to me will eventually be
A memory of the time when I tried so hard

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall

To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter..
In the end

General Comment:You know what, now that I think about it, I am kinda hoping that they'll do a remix of "Minutes to Midnight"... because I'm sorry, but I'm so dissappointed in that album.

General Comment:"Hot I so-socialize like the host of the party
As folks shake and made eye contact"
I make an effort to impress you/your friends/everyone (going out of his way to make an effort to socialize)

    "Party to toast strong format
    North, East, South, West, Coast
I'm *staring* out the window, "
It's difficult for me to keep it up (even though he socializes, he stares out the window during the "party"; daydreaming perhaps, like he doesn't really care for being a social wizard; fits in with the "tried so hard" part of "In the End")

    "No opportunity to mend though
    I tried to slow up,
You wiggin your system and it be flowed up"
Even though I did all of this, I have no opportunity to fix things between us ("mend" means he's mending / fixing something, a relationship)
I tried slowly/carefully to make things right
But you're angry and do not appreciate what I'm doing, regardless of how hard I try

"I brought you back a few things
Like the imaginary man of your dreams
You always seem to make it worth it"
    I bought you nice things
because that's what you expected the perfect man to do (imaginary man of your dreams as in the man she wanted him to be; the fact that he's saying this shows that somehow the girl of the lyrics implied that bringing her back stuff was what she wanted him to do)
you always seem to make it worth it (and he did it because when he gets back, he enjoys her reaction)

"A pigskin, I never Nerfed it
    You felt leather never pleather"
I was always for real, never fake (pigskin is a real football, rough exterior like leather; a Nerf football is fake and soft)
You only saw the bad in me

    "Real bringin the pleasure
    By any means it means
    I'm leavin your team
    I tried so hard"
I was for real when I did nice things for you
I'm leaving you because I tried so hard, but it doesn't even matter (Cover of teen magazines sounds incorrect, and even if it's right, it has little meaning that I can see)

My thoughts on the song? Love it. Motion Man made a decent effort, but never really got his message through in the end (omgpun).

General Comment:I do not like this song. I got into this song before I heard the original In the End, but once i got into the original, I realised how much I don't like this. I love everything about the original, the melody, the beat, the lyrics. They changed the melody and the beat quite a bit, and the only part of the song left exactly the same is the chorus. I regret forcing my class to listen to this now, because even I can't listen to this one anymore without making the XP face. I love the band, but I just do not like this remix.

General Comment:Hell ya rando.,,,,Anyways..I think that the first verse really said alot........also, I thinkthat bands make songs with a feeling/emotion or something in mind, but its up to the listener to interpert what it means to them...

General Comment:Helkaorewen, you say you're a huge LP fan, but by the sounds of things you don't really know that much about the band. When they first started they wanted to mix hip hop with rock. Not rock and add hip hop or vice versa, the music they aim to create is meant to be equally both. After the Hybrid Theory album was released they were talked about as being only rock, the rap/hip hop side was forgotten. This was done as a side project while meteora was being written to highlite their hip hop side. The song wasn't meant to be rock, it was meant to be Linkin Park, a blend of hip hop and rock. If you write off their work as shit you can't be a true fane. If I don't like an LP song I'll admit it but I also admit this is the band's work and they have put time and effort into creating it. Just because this isn't a song you like there's no need to insult the bands efforts.

General Comment:I loved the original In The End, and when I heard this I almost threw up!!!! Im a huge LP fan, but these Motion Man ppl completely destroyed the whole meaning of the song!!!! Im not insulting Linkin Park, I just want to make it clear. This song is supposed to be ROCK, not some distorted rap shit!

General Comment:because rappers are egocentric, nothing wrong with that really, but it seemes like all rappers love'emself.
