Me and my old lady
Lay in bed all day
And when I say I love her
Well she rolls the other way

But really she don´t mean it
Everything she says
Still if I believe in love
There´s nothing wrong
There´s nothing wrong with my head

Me and my old lady
Sit and sip on wine
And when she says she loves me
Will I say that love is blind

But really I don´t mean it
Everything I say
Still if she believes in love
There´s nothing wrong
There´s nothing wrong with her head

So what if we´re making a scene now
You know she don´t give a shit
When she´s pawin´ and grabbin´ on me now
You know I don´t mind a bit

It´s all good and we
Ain´t gonna change now
The world is unaware
So if you want to go on and stare
'Cause we don´t care

She ain´t no ball and chain
Me and my old lady
Suck each other dry
And when in that position

I´m the luckiest man alive
Quenching our libidos
Passing time away
Now that I believe in love

There´s nothing wrong
There´s nothing wrong with my head

if you never have a great sex you wouldn't understand the meaning of this song.
if your girl said she just had a great sex with you, and you still don't understand this song, it means she lie to you.

dump her. go out and grab a new girl.

General Comment:well, if the term "old lady" also includes a girlfriend, then I'd say that it's about them being at the beginning of a relationship. He says he loves her after they've had sex, she doesn't want to hear it "when I say I love her - well she rolls the other way" she wants to avoid those feelings for him and just wants the casual side of things. When she's drunk the tables are turned and she's the one saying she loves him, and he's denying it, and in the end it stops being casual and they "fall in love".

Or maybe that's just the romantic in me... anyway a great song

General Comment:What does an older woman have to do with anything?
I didn't get that out of the song at all.
To me it sounds like a volatile relationship, alotta fighting and making up *wink.wink)..A normal relationship I guess..Fun :D
    Love the song.

General Comment:yeah and ball and chain usually refers to the trouble of a spouse
"she ain't no ball and chain"
talking about his wife and how she's not troublesome

General Comment:I think u guys are putting to much weight on the sex. I think its love even though they won't admit it to each other. IMHO it's about a perfect "Dysfunctional" relationship.

General Comment:I really feel like the long and short of this song is a relationship based purely on sex and lust. Maybe they believe in love, or the idea of love. Neither of them believes that the other really truly loves them. But who gives a fuck? She's still a wildcat in the sack and she's not looking for anything more. She's the perfect woman if you ask me.
