Back in Wilson High I had two best friends
They lived down the block
Where Eagle Ct. bends
One she cared for my bones
Fed me ice-cream cones
One she cared for my happiness
Wouldn't leave me alone
Back in Wilson High
Said I had these two best friends
Till the school bus came and took my friends away
Now I'm left alone at home
To sit and think all day

Hear you me, Mykel
Hear you me, Carli

They gave me a hat
the hat was awful rad
wore it everyday
Made my teacher mad
She tore it off my head
Now my head's well read
My head gets cold at night sometimes
But I can't be misled

General Comment:....im not sure who mykel and carli are, but from what i've read it's a creepy coincidence that he wrote this song before the crash happened, but it was on 1994 - deluxe edition, prob released later, at about 1997 to maintain weezer's popularity. im not quite sure though...

General Comment:Yeah, it's a song written about two awesome girls who started the Weezer fan club. They went to A LOT of their shows, and brought them cookie and all that good stuff. They did die in a car accident on the way to a Weezer show, I believe their sister also died in the accident. The thing is, according to the Weezer website about Mykel and Carli, Karl left two custom Weezer hats at their graves (one on each grave). That seems to be in tribute to the lyrics "They gave me a hat, the hat was awful rad". That's such a sad story. This is one of my favorite Weezer songs of all time. I never even knew them, but I'll never forget em.

General Comment:this was always kind of a song that made me feel like I was apart of something because I had never met someone who spelled their name like mine (yes, my name is Mykel) and then to hear that both of their lives were taken was utterly depressing to me and I can never listen to the song like I did ever again.

General Comment:mainxzibit6789, it's Mykel who's voice appears on the spoken part in "Undone (The Sweater Song)"

General Comment:This song is about Mykel and Carli. They were sisters who were fans of Weezer when they were still struggling in L.A. After Weezer hit it big with the blue Album (in fact, one of the girls is the voice of the girl in Undone (The Sweater Songg), they asked Mykel and Carli to set up the Weezer fan club and to send lyrics to all Weezer songs to anyone who asked. In return for their efforts, Rivers wrote this song, and was occasionally played at concerts. Unfortunately, Mykel, Carli, and their sister died in an accident on-route to a Weezer song. When hearing of the death of the girls, Weezer went up on stage and performed the song in their memory. They later attended the funeral for the girls.

General Comment:The second verse, regarding the hat and the teacher removing it, makes me think of the singer trading something emotional for something intellectual. The hat represents emotions, things that make you feel "warm and fuzzy." "My head gets cold at night sometimes" is the singer missing those emotions, with nothing to make him warm and fuzzy. "But I can't be mislead." Instead he has intellect, which keeps him from being tricked. He's cold, but efficient.
