  General Comment:to me this song is a huge joke, and it's sorta funny. It's sorta about playing a prank on someone and keeping it going for too long.. And yes I have read all the stuff, like how he liked the name of the girl, and is just fucking with you. It's funny how people are silly with this song, it's pretty straight forward.

  General Comment:Chino Moreno about the lyrics to the song: "The name Feiticeira is some Portuguese name that I read in a magazine and just liked. It's based on the scenario of being taken captive. It's completely fictional. I want that people who listen to it feel like they are the ones in the situation. Because of that I sing it in first person. It's up to people to figure out if i'm having fun (with them) or not, even though it sounds a bit eerie"

  General Comment:My first Deftones album was The White Pony, and I would listen to one song a day on repeat for like 200 times (that's how many times you have to listen to a Deftones song to fully understand the lyrics and gather your own interpretation). To me, each song is like a different chapter of a very myserious, ominous book. Once i got to this song, i didn't get it at first, but....it's kind of sexy in a sense. "And just before I come to move to the back of the carrrrr...she made me touch the machiiiine...new murdererrrrrr!!!!"

  General Comment:What I get from this song is that she's obviously committed a crime, and the narrator of the song was a witness with photo evidence. Maybe she committed a crime like robbing a bank, where you have hostages and a police standoff and escaped through the back and after a police chase she has escaped the scene of the crime. Since the witness has seen what happened and may or may not have evidence, she frames him for the crime. She says she'll let him go, but in the end it is unknown if she ever does.
  
  I've also seen some people comment on the obscenities left out of the song and I wouldn't blame the person who posted these lyrics for that, because the lyrics posted are exactly how they're written in the White Pony booklet.
  
  Anywho, that's just my point of view on things.

  That's ridiculous... you guys arguing and getting all worked up about the pronunciation. I'm Brazilian and I read another Brazilian dude up there remarking it correctly.
  
  
  1) It's actually pronounced "fay.tee.say.ra" with the stress on "say" and please note that the "ra" has the "r" like in "compadre".
  
  That's what linguists determine as "fricative r". In Brazilian Portuguese [x], [ʁ] and [h] are realization variant of /r/.

  2) There was indeed a character named "Feiticeira". Y'know, she was from one of all those stupid tv programs we've got here in Brazil where half-naked women incite you gringos to dream about a tropical harem. And she has absolutely nothing to do with the song. I don't know where the fuck do you guys take these ideas from. Chino just like the name. Wtf...!
  
  
  3) "Feiticeira" and "Bruxa" are just the same. Yeah, they're synonyms you dumbasses - and both goes for "Witch".
  
  
  4) As you all may well know, Chino's got his squire Max Cavalera really close to himself. Y'know Max from Sepultura. He is Brazilian. And just for being both latinos - at least in some part for Chino, eh?, that's just pretty ok using those names.

  These are the actual lyrics and i think that this song is about how a girl take hostage a guy and the cops are chasing but she stops...and they are at a standoff...and the cops are pointing their guns at the vehicle looking through the scopes (the machines take pictures of us) and the girl is armed and being that women are trusted OVER men in these kinds of situations she makes HIM touch the gun for HIS prints (She makes me touch the machine, new murderer, FUCK)...Get it...lol...
