She was a really big fan of his books.
he was a boy that presented himself as a female. and the song is about him.
but in 2006 it come out that it was ALL a hoax.
J.T Leroy was a fake. "He" was actually a girl, dressed as a boy pretending to be a girl.

I like the acceptance of all people, each with our own unique way of bringing the hidden parts to the whole of the way the world works.
The lines that made me look into it deeper were:
"You're such a delicate boy, In the hysterical realm
Of an emotional landslide, In physical terms" which obviously uses the words boy (Which could also be referring to someone else of course), but it states emotional landslide in physical terms which I read into as he is disguising his manhood.
Also: "Because you looked just like a girl, Your baby blues would flash, And suddenly a spell was cast" which I read as the illusion was complete, and finally:
"You bought yourself a second chance" which I believe means that it's like a new life when he's posing as a blonde bouncy girl.
all the stuff about JT Leroy is right. If you want a bit more knowledge about it, check out the movie "The heart is deceitful above all things". it's based on his novel of the same name. it's rated R though, and pretty intense, but a great movie.
