The moon is down
And heaven is waiting
For us to find her in our sites
With focus that's strong
But my strength keeps slipping

Now we're all the terminal cases
(We're all the terminal cases)
But we're so determined to thrive
And those with defeat on their faces
(Those with defeat on their faces)
Are those that we must keep alive
And I admire your strength
You keep us going on
(You keep us going on)
You keep us going on
(You keep us going on)
You keep us fighting long
after the fire

You've measured our strides
Marked the degree of our fever
Charted the log
Made sure the temperature's rising

To fan the flames
And brandish our new courage proudly
As if it were ours from the outset
(As if it were ours from the outset)
As if we were never alone

The moon is down
And heaven is waiting
For callers and entries
As we're calling out
"This is ours, ours, ours
This one is ours!"

Now we're all the terminal cases
(We're all the terminal cases)
But we're so determined to thrive
And those with defeat on their faces
(Those with defeat on their faces)
Are those that we must keep alive
And I admire your strength
You keep us going on
You keep us going on
You keep us fighting long after the fire

General Comment:Thank you, riverscuomo... I totally agree with you, this song is all about Steinbeck's "The Moon Is Down." From the perspective of the townspeople, fighting against the soldiers that are occupying their town, the whole song makes sense.

    "This is ours, ours, ours..."

General Comment:Banquo: How goes the night, boy?
Fleance: The moon is down. I have not heard the clock.
    ...
Macbeth: It is concluded. Banquo, thy soul\'s flight,
if it find heaven, must find it out tonight.

General Comment:btw word up itellthetruth to speak up and get back to the subject. Because it's all about opinions of the song, and not criticizing but expanding on ideas. Way to go Rob.

General Comment:All I want to say is that FSF is the greatest band and though the people in the band are Christian, who give a rip. Way to go music man122 you hit it right on the nose. I'm Christian but that does not mean I'm going to try prove to everyone reading that I think that they are Christian as well. I just think that FSF is amazing, and that they rock my life, every CD they have come out with is perfect in my eyes. So let get back to what this song means without trying to add what type of music they are, or what religous reference FSF is.

General Comment:this song is quite powerful in language. I think it is quite spiritual and most likely Christian. The problem I have with this band (FSF) is that, as far as I know, there is no mention of praise lyrically to Christ and/or God. I am finding this a common trend to what a lot of 'us' are calling Christian bands. Please respond to these comments if you object or agree.

General Comment:i like most emo and FSF is awesome, but why waste time talking about weather this is a "Christian" song or not? FSF is Christian, but that doesnt mean that EVERY song has to be explicitly about God or to God. its a great song, so just accept it the way it is...
