I think the above is Brandon singing about how irritating he finds a new pop star that he is only hearing for the first time.

And here there seems to be a direct reference to the person in question being a pop star.

Here Brandon is saying that this new pop star is just a phase and will be irrelevant soon, so he is waiting for this phase to end.

Here I think Brandon is clearly saying that temporaryism has become a black plague as in we have become like parasites, sucking the life out of one phase and then quicly moving to the next; he says that it has become like Jesus because we worship these phases (pop stars coming and going, usually in periods of a couple of years).

I think here Brandon is acknowledging that he sounds biased because he is a rock star and not as popular as all the pop stars coming and going in phases so it is natural for him to resent these pop star phases.

I'm not entirely sure about this one but I think he is trying to say that within very little time the audience will start demanding more from the pop star and the phase will end.

I think this final part of the song is Brandon exploding and demanding that society wake up and stop following the phases because ultimately it is pointless and the phases have no meaning. He is not waiting for this phase to be over but for all phases to be over.
But hey, that's just my opinion...
The consolation line ties up the problems he's identfied in the first two lines and gives the lesson that "phases" don't last for ever. A consolation however is not what you wanted, it's not the real prize, it's not what you were chasing or hoping for - it's second best, it's not REAL it's a fallacy.
The chorus is tempting the listener to ask themselves who they are and when will they be through chasing this shit that the "fad-makers" tell you you should be chasing - see it for what it is.
"Womens Intuition" was/is another term thrown around as though it was/is something unique to women, we all have intuition independant of sex - he's sort of saying don't ask me how I know just trust me on it (it being this something he's on to).
Temporaryism is a great word which sums up the motives of the majority of western civilization, resonates that song that says "when everythings made to be broken" from that angel movie. We all want the newest piece of shit from apple, newest version of our favourite videogame, etc. We all get attached to shit like TV shoes etc, eventually they end but we don't expect it till after the fact.
If you look at the trouble we go to to ensure sameness and security i.e. insurance etc. the fact things change and are uncertain is like a black plague, it won't go away and fucks with our peace of mind and desire for security.
The Jesus reference I think can be taken a few ways, he was here went away and came back i.e. went through a few phases. He was also worshipped but also crucified, couldn't be fucked getting into that one.
The line about opinions is just pure honesty; he's putting his cards on the table and telling it how it is without hiding anything - he has no hidden agenda (unlike advertisers/fad-makers/the press) - this should make his message more beleivable to the listener.
Sooner or later the end will come, the actors/elements on the stage will change, the audience will be looking at something else - whatever is popular/the focus of your attention/desire will transition. Quarters are expendible hence people throwing them away, if they are throwing them at you what they once liked they now dislike - things change, attitudes change, death is certain life is not.
Second chorus is the same as the first but hammers the message/lesson home further.

BTW, I think this is Brandon seeing about his ego, it gets tricked sometimes and buys into the shit and this song is a way for him to remind himself that all this shit is "Just a Phase"
