I just had my first break-up, and now i actually understand all these blink songs. I used to just think they kick ass, but now the music means something to me so the music is even more kick ass, and it really cheers you up.

i've always interpreted this song as the breaking down of a couple and all the arguments they have, and all the stereotypes of men and women.
i think the lines "don't tell me that its over, i'm not used to this temptation" are referring to the fact that he has been in the relationship so long, but now when it gets to these lines the arguments have culminated, and they have broken up - "its over", he has freedom, hes not used to the "temptation" that the freedom gives him.

I think some of you guys are taking it way too seriously. Yea, he's saying all girls are the same, but that is in the heat of a breakup & stuff.
And when it says "Guys hate to fight, girls think it's therapy" He's saying girls are always dragging shit out, over reacting, and making all this drama. While guys just settle it & get it the fuck over with.

i dont agree with song a whole lot....i mean this song is just basically comparing guys and girls and alot of the things that this song is comparing with ive seen guys and girls both have the same thoughts and feelings over.....like fighting for example some girls are always looking for a fight and some guys are to it just depends on the person really not weather your a guy or girl

See, it works now. y'know how when you really dont wanna part and wanna be with eachother allllll the time, but girls think its good to be apart, i suppose it helps make all the time you DO spend with eachother more special. You guys missed the most important line of the song, which happens to be the title. "Don't tell me that its over." Tom isn't saying that girls pick fights. Tom is taking a typical stand point where he lays the blame on the other person. If you listen to the first verse. Tom is sitting in his room. He's upset that his girlfriend broke up with him, on a subject that was totally his fault "I will admit, I hate those things I said" The point of the song isn't to say that all girls are bitches and fight. He's saying he misses the girl. He's just taking a macho standpoint and trying to make himself look better by saying its a girl thing.

Totally true with the fighting thing, guys are generally non-confrontational and guys usually want to talk about their feelings, and when there are problems they put more pressure on talking, fights happen because girls vent about what they're mad at. Hence, guys hate to fight, girls think it's therapy
