i love this song. It just talks about how it's hard for a guy and a girl to be friends with out falling for eachother "oh no it happened again, she's, she's hot, she's my friend". And that always happens to me with my guy friends, so i can relate.

This song is awesome. Blink 182 is really good at expressing how teenagers feel. This kinda shit is the daily life of a teenager in highchool. I feel like i live this song! and alot of their others too

Personally I think the lyrics to this song are horrible. I like Blink's music for the most part but I think they are some of the worst lyricists. None of their songs (of which this is the worst lyrically) have any depth. The worst part is the 'Why did we have to go date / Its so easy to complicate'. Aah thats so bad.

You are moron that is one of the best lines in the song. "Why did we have to go date,its to easy to complicate" It means they were friends then they dated and it screwed up the good friendship they had. It makes perfect sense and means alot more than a shallow person like MartyRDB and punk-junkie can see

I'm not saying that the line doesn't make sense. I know what it means. I'm just saying that it's really bad writing. It just doesn't fit with the music of the song. And the song has no depth. And if you knew me, you'd know I'm not a shallow person, and certainly not a punk-junkie. I really don't like punk at all actually

Another great from Blink 182. Depicts a basic law of opposite gender relationships. It's just hard to be just a friend with a girl if you are a guy. However it happens though, you end up having the best time of your life. Awesome. Thanks.

I like this song a lot. It is really true for, I bet, just about anyone. It's hard when you are such good friends with someone, and when you date, it gets complicated. You have to be strong when things don't go the way they should have been planned, but I guess that's life, and it really sucks.
It's really hard to listen to the song because, I know personally, that this is what has happened to me, I don't even know how many times now. But life is life, you live, you learn, and it is a learning experience.

the lyrics on toypaj are really stupid and immature, for the most part, they could do alot better. but i still love this song, it's a good one about boy/girl friendships/relationships. plus it sounds good.

I alwat's thought it was about a chick with problem's who he liked (obviously a friend) and she can't seem to get over what ever it is that's holding her back from this guy. I.E. a past relationship, a boyfriend any of the above.

The first time i heard this song was the live version and its my favorite song off of the newest album. I think the lyrics make sense and are very good but some ppl are too dense to understand i guess.

what a load of shit. Listen to carousel. it talks about how he thought things would be so much better when he moved out on his own but he was so wrong and its so hard. Sometimes is about being confused.... Feeling lost. Listen to the words and the music and the message comes across. Lemmings is one of the greatest. It's about losing old friends.... "Laughin at the bands we hate, all the spots we used to skate.. Well they're still there, but we've gone our own ways. dude i can TOTALLY relate to this song. this one girl i met 2 or so years ago has been my friend since then and when i liked this one girl a year or so ago, she liked me, as i found out not long ago (sucks when you find out they like you when it's too late, huh?) anyways, recently i began to like her, and so now what this song talks about is turning into what is happening between my friend and i. it SUCKS soooo bad!!

This is one of my all time favorites, I had a girl I was friends with and we started dating, but it was never supposed to get serious, it was more like a friends who go out together and have sex type thing, but not really an in love type relationship. This went on for a few months, but I started really falling for this girl, and one day she decided she wanted to end it and be alone for a while I was crushed. Nothing was ever right after that between us, we tried to maintain a friendship, but it didn't work. This song was the one I kept listening too, because it seemed to describe word for word what I was feeling at the time. Blink rocks!!!!
